No, if your application is returned, no application number is generated because the application was never entered into the system. That's why, when you receive your AOR with your application number, it means your application will not be returned to you. If they return your application, they basically just put a note in the system with your name and other basic details, so if you call in, they can see that your application was returned, but there will be no number attached to it.
Thank you for your reply. The email I received yesterday doesn't actually have the term "AOR" anywhere on it. I was given the application number and UCI number though. (Is this still an AOR????)

Sorry if it's a silly question, I just want to be sure.

It's AOR 1 for sure...
AOR stands for acknowledgement of receipt. Cic send us an email with the file number to confirm the receipt, that they have our file & everything is good, it won't be returned & the process has begin. So all you have to do is sit tight & wait patiently for next the emails requesting PCC, Schedule A or medical. That will hit your inbox within couples of weeks. Then sponsorship approval email then file transfer email. All the best.

Thank you! The last couple weeks has been one long anxiety attack. I am relieved to have made the first step.

Hello everyone

Any Brazilians here?

Spouse received AOR on September 06

Schedule A and PC requested on spetember 13

Medical Examination requested on September 21

Does anyone know how to request more time to do the medical? They only gave 30 days and he lives in a "remote' area and need to plan a trip to a city where they have doctors that do the imigration exam.

Also he wanted to use the trip that he already has to one city that offer imigration doctors but he is only going on October 26 (more than 30 days of the requested time)

Any suggestion on how to proceed with this issue?
