Hello People,

My PCC was given to me last month and it states valid for only 3 months. Will this have an effect on my application (either to speed up things or i will be asked to submit another one after expiration)?

I really need answer to this question too. Our passport was signed for on the 31st of August. And no word on PUM till date, no update on ecas or myCIC.

The Dhl guy told my spouse, that from his previous encounter with people that come to submit their passport at the dhl office. most come back to pick up their passport after 2-3 weeks.

this is from lola123.....18 days after they received your passport, they should send passport pick up mail (PUM).

Just wanted to update you guys that we received passport email pickup today.18 days after we submitted.
Congratulations Is it 18 business dates from the day DHL delivered the passport or 18days from the days (including weekends)

So, is it 18 working days? cos ours is 20 days today since AVO received the passport, my colleague on EE program sent his passport on the 10th and received PUM today. His online status on myCIC updated to Approved on Monday. My issue with the whole thing is that nothing changed on myCIC and ecas. It looks just as it was after file was transferred to AVO. Not even the 4th line stating that a correspondence was sent.

let's just be patient with them.
they specifically said that no one should email them, that we should allow them to do their job.

I would kind of thing that they would add more priority to EE, it's an economic class.
Family sponsorship is not. for all they care, your spouse will be in no hurry to get a job and start giving back to the society..

Are you sure AVO processes the entire application for express entry? I thought they just did the visa stamping. Also sadly, I doubt any country would truly prioritize family immigration over economic immigration.

You are right, AVO doesn't process the entire application for express entry anymore, 90percent of Nigerian applicants have their files spread all over Canada and London, AVO only does stamping.
Sadly the truth, economic immigration triumphs over family immigration, the government stands more to gain from them.
The only thing that bothers one with AVO is, what kind of processing they do for 13 months?
Anyways, we are just watching them on 3D, December is almost here, by then we would know if AVO truly kept with the new 12 months processing, at this their snail speed.

covering 12 countries.
A friend of mine went there, and confirmed this.
This was last year, it was even more discouraging to found out that the lady working on his file was heavily pregnant.
And was going on maternity leave the following month.
he was told that her own job was going to be splitted among the remaining four officers.
I'll just encourage everyone in this forum to keep firing emails to the immigration ministers office.
we did it in March and i think April..we even fired calls...
let everyone keep doing it, until the change is felt.
if a newspaper article or column,can be sponsored preferable one based in Ottawa. it will go a long way.

covering 12 countries.
A friend of mine went there, and confirmed this.
This was last year, it was even more discouraging to found out that the lady working on his file was heavily pregnant.
And was going on maternity leave the following month.
he was told that her own job was going to be splitted among the remaining four officers.
I'll just encourage everyone in this forum to keep firing emails to the immigration ministers office.

I pray for change honestly the immigration minister is my Mp and I havecbeen complaining non-stop my issues to his office Ahmed Hussen yet they fail to rectify the issues in that visa office ..i have a friend who also told me only 4 officers deal with the cases from 12 countries..am just speechless no wonder they take so long to process the applications August 30th 2016 n still waiting not a word from Avo

@lake May God bless your Mp they are saying if they call Avo on my behalf it's gonna be conflict of interest to me that's rubbish am not even related to this guy or anyone in the office however I kinda understand but sti think it's rubbish because am Mp is suppose to assist the people in his/her constituency they claim they call to Ottawa because that's the head of all the offices in the world yet am still here waiting like a goddarm clown while ppl who applied way after me is being issued visas and getting request. If I knew a whole lot about Nigeria or if it was safer I would just relocate to be with my husband
