IELTS scores expired

Hi good people,

I had written IELTS long back but created an Express Entry profile only recently. My score was 440. My profile got selected based on my score, however, the day I got selected was 1 day after the expiration of my IELTS scores. Hence, I think I cannot continue with it.
Hence I wrote IELTS again and got the updated scores. The averages IELTS score is still the same and 440.

Question:
Should I be updating the same profile I have? Or decline the invitation and submit a new application?

Decline and re-submit. Your ielts details must have changed so you would need to amend those details in EE before accepting ITA .

Hi,
You can still apply .if you qualify for your minimum cut off score for your invite . Read ITA document. Which says you have to write IELTS again if it expires before your AOR date.So you are Good to go. As long as your IELTS score is eligible for your NOC .ie. NOC 0 and NOC A should have minimum CLB 7 in all Reading ,Writing,Listening and speaking.

Don't "think", you definitely cannot, because your score will be recalculated after submission of your file for eligibility (which can lead to misrepresentation). Renew your test results and create a new profile.

Your advice would be correct had he received the ITA before the IETLS results expired. Since he received an ITA on the basis of an expired IETLS he should decline the ITA.

I'm sure he didn't submit on the same day as the day he received ITA. If he did, he is the real mvp.

I would recommend you to call CIC help desk and get your query answered..

"WARNING: If you decide to apply in the above cases, your application may be refused and your application fee will not be returned. Some examples of changes which could result in a lower points score include:
• You no longer have a valid job offer
• You no longer have a provincial nomination
• Your language test scores have expired or upon re-taking them, the scores are lower."​

So if score is Higher or equal then No worries mate.

The problem isn't his CRS, the issue here is that he does not meet the MEC at the time of receiving the ITA.
