I never received any physical letters. I got the test invitation via email and the same with the oath letter. I just print out the email invitation. It worked for the test.

Hi all, I just got off the phone with CIC and she told me that 'Decision Made' just means they have EVERYTHING to make a decision and that a decision has not been made. If a decision has been made you would be notified, otherwise NO decision is made even if it effn says 'Decision Made'. Maybe CIC should do an English test themselves! lol

Not sure I completely believe what she said. In nearly all cases once this update happened one gets an oath invitation.

No.. They will not take your PR card during test. they only take that before your Oath ceremony..

1. Received Application on March 22, 2017.
2. Acknowledgement of Receipt on March 27, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on April 6, 2017.
4. Test invite sent September 14, 2017. Test date October 4, 2017.

No.. They will not take your PR card during test. they only take that before your Oath ceremony..

Similar question here: do you know how long it takes to get the Canadian passport after we take oath? Just wondering what happens if one needs to take a trip between they take away PR card and before receiving the Canadian passport?
