Dear all:

I need to translate our nikahnama and NICs. The problem is where do we find certified translators. Or can we do it from just any random Notary public? Please help. Thank you.

Also, as my NADRA issued Marriage certificate is in English and Urdu both, do I still need to translate its urdu contents?

Any document that has both the local language and English need not be translated.

Most of my documents - birth certificate, graduation certificate, marriage certificate - are in the local language along with English. I submitted these (untranslated) for my OINP application and had no trouble at all.

Good luck.

Hey omar, having the same problem just wondering what you did and how did it turn out ?
Hi Ali: I went to a notary public's office, where they translated my documents (usually they have a ready made format for most common documents), and then his assistant gave his affidavit as a translator, and the notary public notarized it. I received the PPR, so that means they accepted the translations.

No. That doesnt need a translation as the parallel English translation is already given in there. But dont forget to upload both the Urdu nikah nama and translation along.

Thank you brother. I am from Peshawar, and I translated mine from a notary public as I couldn't find any certified translators here.

The requirement is government provided marriage certificate , wouldn't NADRA cert. suffice ?
