Spouse parents sponsorship question

Hi Folks,

My spouse has been selected to sponsor her parents in second draw. I added my spouse as dependent when filing our PR application last year. In the PGP sponsorship form there is a question that "in the five years preceding this application, did you become PR after being sponsored as a spouse, common-law or conjunal partner?". What shall I answer to this question, Yes or No?

If your spouse was an accompanying dependent in your own PR app, then answer NO as she was never sponsored.

This assumes you have 2014/2015/2016 income meeting LICO, while working in Canada on work permit before becoming a PR.

FYI even if you did sponsor your spouse for PR, that would also be fine since the 5-year bar only applies if they then try to sponsor a new spouse. It's irrelevant for parents sponsorship (i'm surprised it's actually a question in the app).
