Hi All,

First off, as everywhere, is the intro.

My name is Razor, and yes am not from India nor Asia. Everyone believes my name has something to do with the continent but in all honesty it doesn't.

I was a silent admirer and info seeker of the forum way-back from the 2014s. All the members over here are extremely helpful and good at heart (minus the hell bent naysayers who dont have anything better to do). I have quite a lot of IRL (in real life) friends here who are active members.

First off, to all the newbies to immigration/EE process, I always suggest to max-out the language requirements (or IELTS as everyone would be more aware of). I say this with a 1-ton weight since its the only arena in which we can score the most. Always put your heart and soul into the prep-work and before you know it, you would be in the CLB-10 league. If possible (not mandatory) please have your spouse to take the language test as well. Even +1 point can do wonders to your application.

Now comes the WES part. Get all your college credentials certified by WES. No second thoughts on this. If you have a spouse do the same to him/her as well.

Last but not the least, is the document preparation which needs to be done after receiving the ITA. Always be honest and faithful to what you do. Honesty brings in the sweetest fruit there is, no doubt about that. The moment you lie or fraudulate your documents, is when all hell breaks loose. CIC is always keen to process applications ASAP, but the moment a red-flag is detected then the entire process slows down for everyone and yes even for the honest ones. Please keep due diligence in following this.

Take ONLY color-scans of all your documents. When I say all documents, I do mean the f***ing lot. Why is it so hard for people to color-scan all their documents??? Please do it without being lazy and sipping your cola/beer or whatever and wasting precious sunlight.

Help others who are in need and come down from all your high horses. God/High Power that be (pls dont start with the agnostic crap) only needs a fraction of a second to teach us a lesson so be respectful and humane in life. Everyone does not have the same speed and hence variations arise in performing the required duties to fulfill the Canadian dream. Instead of talking-down/ridiculing others, just lend out your helping hand and provide the help that is needed for your fellow brother/sister. The world is small, and you would be surprised as to how karma boomerangs back to you.

Wishing you all the very best in your en-devours. I will be around for many years to come, will help out to the max of my abilities.

Thank you all for all the help rendered and for your kind patience.

Hi Razor,

I need your suggestion, it will be really helpful if you can guide me.

For the FSW eligibility i am getting above 67 points, so that criteria is fulfilled.

My next problem is that i have 3.6 years of experience ( 2.8 in NOC 2173 + 10 months in NOC 2282) in 2 NOCs.

I made my EE profile and got the points for 3 years foreign work experience. But there are some suggestions i got from people that i need to have ONE NOC for those 3 years and i should not proceed further.
Is that true? If is true, then why is the system giving me points even for 2 NOCs.
What do you think? I should proceed further?

Thanks in advance
I will highly obliged if anyone can guide me through all this.

Hi Harsimrat117,

One steadfast rule is that your Primary NOC should dominate your Work Experience. Now since you say that you gave the 2 NOCs properly in your application and the system gave you the required points for the same, I do not see any problem in that.

But just to be on a safer side, lets wait for seniors like @legalfalcon & @DelPiero07 to have their take on the same.

Good luck.

You can have multiple NOCs and combine them to claim points. As long as your have 1 year of continuous work experience or equivalent in part time, you meet the FSW MEC, you are good. this 1 year of continuous work experience should be in the same NOC.

As per IRCC -
The applicant must have accumulated at least one year of continuous full-time (or the equivalent in part-time) paid work experience in the occupation identified in their application for permanent residence as their primary occupation.

Hi...do you have any idea, what can be the reasons for delay from ip2 to ppr?
It's more than 25 days I am in IP2 and still I have got no update from them.
I have applied through a consultant and I generally call CIC to check the status of may application. I have called them only twice till now and when I called them around 13 days ago, they told me that medical, eligibility, criminality and security, all have been passed, but, my application was not still transferred to LVO. I am really worried, do you have any idea, what is going on and is there any chance of rejection now?
My timeline is:
AOR: August 20
Medical Passed: 5 September
RPRF asked for: 12 September
RPRF paid: 14th September
IP2: 1st October
Thanks in advance

There have been cases in which the PPR was dragged on from the IP2 stage. Ordering your GCMS notes would be a good idea as it enlightens you to what is happening currently with your PR App. Good luck.

Hi Raz0r,
I recieved the PPR mail twice, one on 30th October and another on 31st October.
Is this due to system glitch or they are sending a reminder mail, i am not able to understand this.
Do you have any idea?

Thanks in advance

Most probably its a glitch. I wouldn't be concerned really. But if it bothers you, raise a CSE regarding the same. Good luck.

@Raz0r :: Congrats on your PR. Please Please can you help:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Working on Contract Projects in IT (USA)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A) Main Company A: Oct 2013 -- May 2015 .. (OPT + H1B)

-- Oct 2013 - July 2014 ==> Paid (Client 1)
-- Aug 2014 -- Sep 2014 ==> NO PAY .. (transition between project + on OPT-EAD)
-- Sep 2014 - May 2015 ==> Paid (Client 2)

Question) After the No-Pay Period, I was working with the same employer
A)
Can I consider the time: [Oct 2013 - July 2014 (9 months) ]+ [Sep 2014 - Nov 2014 (3 months)] towards the 1 Year continuous employment eligibility for FSW OR Is this break period too long ?

PS: I read in the above post:
(b) generally as long as the individual were still considered an employee (even if on an unpaid leave) it would not be considered discontinuous.

----------------------------------------
PS: I know that in the past (during 2010 times), short breaks in-between contracts were acceptable
(https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/bulletins-2010/173-january-8-2010.html)

Does this rule apply now as well. In my case I am considering working in the same NOC after the break period as well.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Switch from Company A to B (June & July) -- No Pay:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

B) Main Company B: July 2015 --Jan 2017 .. (H1B)

-- Aug 2015 -- March 2016 ==> Paid
-- April 2016 ==> Not Paid
-- May 2016 -- Feb 2017 ==> Paid

Hi All,

If we have master’s degree, then we need to get the WES assessment for masters only? Or bachelor’s as well? Kindly confirm

Hello,
is it possible to apply for the express entry without the provincial nominal program (PNP) and once you are given the Permanent Resident, arrive in Ottawa, and then move to live in Quebec, Montreal? Thank you
