Congrats and I am happy that you will be reuniting with your family very soon. I also wrote similar letters to the Minister of Immigration, similar to others here and based on this letter, the only explanation is that your case file was considered on compassionate grounds, and of course God helping out.Dear Hon. Ahmed Hussein,
I write as a follow up on my previous email dated March 13, 2017 in regards to my Family class sponsorship application. With application number F000
I understand the busy nature of your office, but beg that you interface in the processing time from Accra VO.
I use my case as an example.
I arrived in Canada August 4, 2016 after approval on my express entry application in which my spouse and daughter were listed as non-accompanying. They were listed as non-accompanying because I wanted to come into the country and settle in before bringing my family. At the point of our express entry application, the Family class processing trend was at 8 months max for the Accra VO. By our calculation, that would be enough time to settle into a new country and bring in my family without any burden on social assistance. Please note at this point, that my whole family was accessed during the express entry application.
We applied for Family Class sponsorship on November 25, 2016 and received sponsorship approval in about 2 weeks, which gave us a great hope that we would be reunited very soon. Sadly from the point the file was transferred to the Accra VO till date, nothing has happened to the file. I only got confirmation that the file was at the Accra VO after sending an enquiry.
I have been trying not to think or bother myself on the long processing time, as many other applicant from other Visa offices that applied same period I did have even landed in Canada, but my heart was broken last night and I was brought to tears when my 3 years old daughter asked to speak to me while I was on the phone with her mom, my spouse. All she said was “daddy come back home for your Jessica (her name) and my mummy, do you hear me?”. I was speechless, I just realized I was missing the upbringing of my daughter.
I was just wandering what checks that is on going now that was not done during the express entry application barely a year ago. By any definition, I feel this is a straightforward case and shouldn't be taking this long. If I had any clue it would take this long, I would have not decided to come in alone in the first instance. This is really breaking my young family up. I am at the point of moving back home to my family as home is where the heart is. I know that is against the policy as I am a Permanent Resident that is why I am writing to your kind office as our last resort to interfere on our behalf and help reunite and sustain our love.
I know it is not robots that attends to the files that is why I'm pleading that you take a look at our file.
Thank you very much for your time.
Kind regards,
I just hope that AVO continue to work on outstanding applications because there are so many families that are hurting either emotionally or financially because of the unprecedented and huge delay is processing applications. God help us all
