Hi there,

I am applying super visa for my mother in law. I have selected 'Temporary Visa - More than 6 months', during the eligibility check.
What would you like to do in Canada?
Visit
How long are you planning to stay in Canada?
Temporarily - more than 6 months

But the application is not showing the checklist for Super Visa (Like medical insurance document), and it's asking 'Purpose Of Travel - Other' which I learned is not required for super visa

Examples of what you can provide as proof: A scanned copy of: Your flight ticket departing Canada,Your travel itinerary (e.g. places you will visit or stay, such as hotel booking),Proof of a medical appointment
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Sumesh

You'll need to select 'Super visa - Parents and grandparents' in the TRV application form under the 'Details of the visit to Canada' >> 'Purpose of visit' question when you actually apply

Thanks. Should I need to purchase a ticket to show the Purpose of Travel?

You need not purchase tickets before visa . You need to meet LICO for super visa and the visitor needs medical and medical insurance cover for one year.
In the application form select super visa as purpose of visit

I recently applied for Super visa for my mother-in-law and got it approved. For 'purpose of travel - other ' I submitted a letter explaining the reason for her visit in detail and her intentions on returning back to home country when the visa expires. The letter was addressed to the Visa officer from my mother-in-law. You don't need a flight ticket for it.

You might have answered the questionnaire wrong that's why the medical insurance is not showing up.

The relationship is from your (the applicant's) point of view.

For example: If your parent lives in Canada you should choose 'They are my parent or step-parent'.

Note: If your partner is a same sex spouse, the marriage must be legally recognized in your country.

So you're parent is in Canada?

Nope. We are in Canada (applicant's daughter and son in law).
I thought we should be selecting 'Parent/Grand Parent'.
But you are right, selecting child is providing the right document list.
Thanks a lot, and have a great day.
