You can always make her the PA and get an ITA.
The post ita time and by the time u land in Canada , which u surely will with the jump in the score, the kid would be around 2.
There is no such specification in CIC, to my knowledge, that PA has to start working immediately after landing.
PA can work anytime after landing. They just want to be sure that you have enough funds to support yourself and family for one year.
If you have enough funds then as far as CIC is concerned , even if both of you are not working and staying home, not a problem.
Just change the PA and increase your acceptance chances.
Yeah that was my understanding, but I just wanted to be sure, thanks.

I don't see her ever going back to work if I can get a job as well paid as I do here, but I guess that's a whole different issue. You hear stories of immigrants with PhDs driving cabs. We'll cross that bridge when we have our PR secured.

You're absolutely correct! Nothing obligates her to start working.

Me too wanted to do the change, because my husband is 2 years younger than me, but then he needs to re-take IELTS since he got in writing 5.5, which is not enough. If we did it, our CRS would be 431 with him being primary applicant. We will wait another month or so and if nothing happens with cut off we will change tactics.
Seems changing the PA , will bring you closer to the dreams, why you wait for another month to do that.
Make your spouse the PA , Good IELTS score, as you can see by other peoples experience , can be achieved.
Dreams have to keep us alive and kicking.
All the best to you.

Try Below Formula for BC TRF Number. (total 18 alpha/numerical number).

1. Last two Digit of the year:- For Year 2016, Put 16
2. First two Alpha :- Country Code- For INDIA, IN
3. 6 Digit Numbers:- Your Candidate Number- 000777
4. First 3 Alpha of your Family Name and First alpha of your Name:- Solanki karnesh- SOLK
5. Center Number last 3 Digit:- IN001- 001
6. Module:- General- G

i.e 16IN000777SOLK001G

This is how they put your Test report form Number if i am not wrong.!

Exactly, to drive the cab you have to have a PR.
Had money been the only scale of applying, I suppose CIC would be knocking on the doors to accept ITA :D

You are in good branch, you will land with a job in your expertise. Since you're this determined to get to Canada you will succeed in your area easily and your wife can always find a part time job if she wants, this is what I've heard about Canada anyway. I'm an accountant and I'm hoping to start working part time in order to have more time with my kids and enroll to all sorts of courses to get as much accounting knowledge and insight in Canadian tax laws as possible.

I have definitely been giving it some thought, but like @andieangel we both will need our spouses to sit IELTS again. 429 (or in Andie's case 431) would probably be a direct ITA and avoid the Ontario fee and extra hoops to jump through, but honestly that's a small price to pay for me.

I've justed checked and the next exam is due to take place on the 9th Sept. Not that far away and updated points and profile by 22 Sept. I think I need to have a conversation. ;)

Thank you Andie. Finance is another really strong area of employment in Canada so signs are good for you also. If your tax advice is anywhere near as good as your immigration advice you'll have no issue finding the right job.

All the best to you, you are trying to achieve stars :D, aim for the sky.
It's not the fees but the time taken which keeps people on their toes.
