Diff people get info diff ways. It is from ircc. Do you work in the same firm with legalfalcon? You all know the paragraphs from the acts by heart and reply instantly.

If people like to contact me they write to me. I am not trusting this thread and am discontinuing to write here.

I just warn people about the non government getgcms website to order gcnotes!!!!!

Post your csis template here for people if you are a real applicant.

You are hilarious, you approach the MP to write a letter for you and you are giving out your information based on that. Did you even apply through EE. This is a EE forum and spouse sponsorship.

Further, you got this communication from your MP, not through you. Why do you misrepresent things on public forums. The IRCC is obligated to provide the information to the Member of Parliament.

Paragraph 8(2)(g) of the Privacy Act permits a government institution to disclose personal information “to a Member of Parliament for the purpose of assisting the individual to whom the information relates in resolving a problem”, without the written consent of the individual. Visa offices are thus authorized to respond to Members of Parliament (MPs) about an individual’s application.

MPs are sitting members of the House of Commons or the Senate.

Most of the members here have their application only a few months over the 6 months processing time.

Please fog god sake stop scaring people by making sweeping statements. I guess I am done with you!

What? I am an engineer by profession and about Legal falcon, he is an amazing person. He immigrated last year, see the September 2015 thread or his profile page. You can see his posts all over the forum he has helped me and many others. He even got my legal documents sorted in my home country through one of his friends, and that was for free.

I am just disgusted with your attitude. Its sad what level you have come down to.

For GCMS there are many places and you can search for the links on this forum.

Additional verification could mean anything from seeking additional documents from foreign governments to investigation from another investigation agency. Usually it may add 3-5 weeks, but if there are no concerns, not are than that.
So you mean my eligibility will definitely pass by the end of this month ???? You said 3-5 weeks.......The 6 months was already finished on Aug 01 2017. I hope i will get something.......

The 6 months processing timeline starts from the day your application passes R10, not the say you submitted it or received the AoR.

IRCC states <http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp>

The Express Entry six-month processing standard begins when an application is assessed as complete and is promoted in the Global Case Management System (GCMS). It ends when Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) makes a final decision on the application.

A complete application includes the following:

Additional checks require more time. 3-5 weeks is usually what the trends show but depending on each application, it may take longer to shorter.

What does the eligibility section of your GCMS notes show?

The Eligibility section is "Recommended Passed"......The GCMS notes were generated on July 5 2017.
R10 Passed date is March 06 2017. I dont understand why they haven't looked at my application since last 3.5 months....
Can you please tell me how can I find the latest updated date on my file in GCMS ?? Except the GCMS generated date...............

(CPC-Ottawa Office)----***Analyst***----- EE-Eligibility was "Recommended Passed" on March 09 2017.......After that On April 26 2017 both employer got the call.....I dont know was it from officer or analyst !!! Since then I am not getting any update regarding my application.... I can not see Officer's comment in my GCMS.....

@systems.engineer
This is dozens of forum users CSIS report template from this year. Security screening is applicable for all immigration categories and this report is specifically for spouse sponsorship. EE, spouse sponsorship, PNP applicants who are within the normal processing times do not have to worry about CSIS, CBSA, etc. For majority of applicants security screening can be done in the visa office itself within one day. Please share your CSIS report that does not have anything about CBSA to compare.

"The following is in response to the request dated XXX concerning the security screening status of XXXX permanent resident application, in which the applicant has provided you the necessary authorization to act on his/her behalf.

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is one of several organizations that Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) may consult while assessing a permanent resident application and determining whether a person is admissible to Canada. IRCC then determine who will be allowed to enter the country and whether they will be granted resident status in Canada. CSIS's role in immigration matters is to provide advice to IRCC through the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

CSIS received a security screening request from IRCC on xxxx concerning XXX permanent resident application. The security screening was completed and advice was sent on XXXX.

As CSIS now concluded its involvement in this request, IRCC or CBSA would be in a better position to provide a status update on XXXX application. At this time, I can only suggest that you redirect your request to them.

Sincerely,
Brian Rumig
Assistant Director Operations"

Attention: order gcms note, CBSA record only from the official ATIP website.
https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do

To be eligible to make a request under the Access to Information Act or the Privacy Act, you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual or corporation currently present in Canada.

This is a reply from visa office to a CSE. As the 2011 general audit shows even 46% of the visa officers complained against CBSA long processing times. IRCC is not the one holding the application process in many cases and IRCC is waiting for another government department or CBSA response/result

" While I am sympathetic to your situation, we cannot finalize your file without the result.

I have checked your file again just now and there is no response in the system yet. We will continue checking.

I wish that I had different news for you as I imagine that this will be disappointing. Please rest assured that your file is getting individual attention and that we are checking it.

I hope this response reassures you that yours file is being attended to."

If you are an applicant from outside of Canada you need his help and you need to assign him as a representative so that he can order gcms and CBSA and CSIS report if required on your behalf. It is $5 each from the atip website and you have to sign a consent form and authorize him. He may do the service for free or charge you a little bit which is fine. Whereas if you try getgcms.com they may charge you anything from $20-$500 for gcms and other prices for CBSA, etc are not given!!!!!!

It is all hogwash that only PR or Canadian Citizens can order ATIP from CSIS or CBSA, if that was the case they wouldn't have a category for "People present in Canada" on the ATIP website. Since I have been living in Canada for the last seven years I have ordered ATIP from both organizations. Stop misleading people and spreading lies.

Hi Guys,
Is there any link / thread explaining the detailed steps for Security Check PNP PaperBased? as similar to the steps explained for Express Entry in this thread ?
The current processing timeline for PNP Paper based is 16 months. So, wondering why it is so long when the eligibility for PNP is kindoff/almost eligible/pass in the initial stages itself!

See the agent notes the the end of the GCMS notes and also see if there has been any correspondence of incoming or outgoing documents in the middle section of the notes.

The eligibility is passed in 2-3 stages. First an analyst will review your documents and make a recommendation, which will make the status of the eligibility go to "Recommended passed" then an officer will review it who will make the eligibility to "Passed". The officer may have a different opinion, but in most cases once you have the eligibility as recommended passed, the changes of the officer making a different opinion are very rare.

As of now the PNP, and CEC are going very slow.

The security details are not shared and neither is there any procedure manual on how you it is to be done. You can however get to know whether CSIS or CBSA (if involved) has finished your security screening.

To know about CSIS you can follow the steps on their website:

How can I find out about the status of my immigration screening file? <https://www.csis.gc.ca/scrtscrnng/index-en.php#bm02>
For general information on immigration/ citizenship/ refugee/ visa-related issues, contact Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) at 1-888-242-2100 or website www.cic.gc.ca.

To enquire about the status of a government clearance or an immigration screening file, the following information is required*:

  • a full name,
  • date and place of birth,
  • the signature of the applicant, and
  • a return mailing address as replies are not sent by email or fax.
If you are enquiring on behalf of another person, the request must be accompanied by the Consent Form to Disclose Information to a Designated Individual.

Mail or fax the request to CSIS at the attention of:

Assistant Director, Operations
Canadian Security Intelligence Service
P.O. Box 9732, Station T
Ottawa, ON
K1G 4G4
Fax: 613-369-2954

* If a request is missing any of the information noted above, a reply will not be issued. Please allow up to eight weeks for the processing of requests.

For CBSA, you can ask them whether they have worked on the file and submitted their recommendation, by seeking information under the Access to Information Act.

However, please be advised that these are not notes of detailed procedures ion what was done, just a letter stating that they have finished reviewing your file and the sate on which they submitted it to the IRCC.

But most PNP are stuck in eligibility.

@legalfalcon as we discussed before, I have finished the ADR form 5562 E . Since I added in more sheets because of the extensive travel, I have included a short cover letter. Can I send it for you to review.

Although the Form 5562 E is self explanatory, and does not need a cover letter. But if you have kept it short and simple, it will not hurt. You can PM me and I will get back to you.
