Which visa for infants of work permit parent?

Hi,

My work permit is recently approved to work in Quebec for two years and I am currently in India. I have a child who is two months old. Which Visa should I take for him to come with me to Canada. If I choose Visitor visa for him, can he stay for more than six months?

1. Visitor, on entry get the visitor's permit the same length time your work permit is issued for.
