Dear Legalfalcon,

I have a query, while creating the Pre ITA profile I mentioned 2 NOC Codes:
2173 - 26 months 2011-2013
2171 - 18 Months - 2015-2017 (In between I was studying)

However, I have mentioned my Primary NOC Code as 2171 (just 18 months).

During POST ITA application do you think it is beneficial if I change my Primary NOC code to 2173 to ensure I meet FSW criteria and mention that in my LOE? 2173 would put me in a better position for my FSW points.

hello legal falcon, my pof was over 5000CAD ON sunday night and when i wanted to submit two days ago and checked it was just over 1000 over the required sum for fam of 4. i keep checking and it keeps fluctuating, three to four rates in one day. i am now confused as to what to do

If you have submitted your application, your application is locked no need to worry. If you are yet to submit, your need to make sure that on the say you submit, you are above the limit.

I just read a post on forum saying that work experience while being a full time student isn't counted. It is shaking my head. As I graduated from a country out of Canada. I had my full time job in 9/2012 while graduation date was 11/2012. TheRe is a overlap between my study and work. Would my experience for that job be counted? If not, if the experience from 12/2012 till the date I quit that job count?

If your work expiring is out of Canada while you were a student, you can count that towards work experience.

I was in Denmark on Work permit from 2008 till 2010. But in between, i traveled to India for vacation like 15 days, 10 days or even for 1 month. So do i need to mention these details as well. If so then where i need to make these entries.

Regarding eligibility for work experience under FSW as CiC states "Your work experience must have been full-time (or the equivalent in part-time hours), worked continuously and paid, for at least one year in the same occupation", pls help to judge my case.
I have 3 jobs in same NOC which I claimed points
1st job: full time, lasts for 7months
2nd job: full time, lasts for 13 months
3rd job: current job

So my first job didn't last for 1 year continuously but my 2nd did. Is it eligible? Thanks so so much!

I havent had any updates to my application yet. When would be the optimum time to request for it ?

The best time to order 45-50 days post submission. Then based on what you get, you can order more to see the progress.

When you request GCMs notes, it takes 30 days for them to generate. They are usually generated 1-2 weeks before they are released.

Eg. if you order them on 1 august, they will be delivered on August 30. They will pertain to you application and capture the details around August 15-20.

2. Suppose get the visa stamped on current passport and later renew the passport, will I be eligible to travel to canada till the end of visa expiry ( which ideally should be valid till March 2018 as current passport validity is till then)?
I heard some countries don't allow you to Travel if your passport is less than 6 months valid!

It is your responsibility to ensure that your passport is valid. You ghouls get your PP renewed and upload the new passport via CSE. In case you get a PPR while your passport is being processed, you can inform IRCC and they will give you an extension, no need to worry.

YEs, all the valid visas even in old passport remain valid.

Yes, you have to make sure that when you submit your passport it is valid for more than 6 months.

If your dependents are not accompanying you will have to answer "NO." However, you will still need to submit their PCC, and medicals. This is because if any of your family member is inadmissible because of criminality or medical, you will be inadmissible too. This is done so that you can later sponsor them.

Sincere Apologies for mistake in misspelling your name.

Continuation to my thread - In Denmark on WP from Oct 2008 till Feb 2010 and multiple visit to india for short duration, I want to add that it will be really tough to find those details exactly accurate as i lost the passport in between. I just made one entry stating i was in Denmark from this date to this date and In personal activity also.
But as you mentioned, i need to break it up due to multiple trips between India and Denmark, is it ok if the dates are here and there or if i miss any trip ?
