Hi Forum Members,

I am planning to submit my Express Entry profile soon. Depending on the ECA, I may have any where from 450 to 460 points. When can I expect to receive the ITA after I submit the profile. Please advise.

Thanks

Keep a tab on EE invitation cut off.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/rounds.asp

You will know when you would receive.
Thanks for your reply. Typically how many months does it take to get an ITA at this score. What I am trying to understand is Is it possible to receive an ITA in the next round given the cutoff for the last round has been 441. Or is there a minimum time your profile would be in the pool before it is picked up.

No there's no such minimum time requirement. As long as your profile is live and good to go prior to the draw, you'll receive ITA if the your score is above cutoff

At 460, you will most likely get an ITA in the next round.

Thanks for your response. Does that mean everyone above the cutoff score gets an ITA. I see on the CIC draw numbers.. there are still candidates in the pool with higher than the last cutoff. How does that work?

Those numbers are from few days prior to draw. Everyone with CRS above cut-off in that list will have received ITA.

Hi Forum Members,

My current employer is not willing to give employment reference letter. some of the forum members suggested I get the letter from my supervisor and collect a number of documents to prove employment - such as paystubs, promotion letters, tax returns etc.

I now have two options - either to go with a letter like that and leave it upto the discretion of the case officer OR my husband can become the primary applicant as his company is willing to issue the letter in the proper format. The problem there is we lose some points. With me as primary we will be in the range of 450-460 and with him as primary we will be in the range of 440-450. We are waiting for our ECAs to know the final CRS score.

What approach would you recommend? experts please help.

Why is your employer refusing? I can understand if they have a specific format which they cant change, but no letter at all is harsh!
Anyways the question you are asking really depends on you, only you can decide if it works both ways. You can get a letter from your supervisor and support it with pay slips, would work fine. Good luck

Thanks for your response. But the employer has certain policies and according to that they cannot issue letters like these.
