HI In my case I applied on 17th may this is the story

  1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on May 17, 2017.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on July 27, 2017.
  3. We started processing your application on July 27, 2017.
  4. We sent you correspondence on July 27, 2017 --- Asking Passport attested , proof of physical Presence as well Record of movement from each country visited ( most difficult to get )
  5. And now 30 July to my surprise sent for Secondary review I am really lost I have completed over 1000 Days in 5 years but ( , I spoke to a lawyer and he says that they check last 2 years and if you don't meet that then it is discretionary Power of the Officer ( Is this correct ?)
  6. I called the call center and they said don't worry about the new Email and still send the asked documents ( which is strange )
I am really confused why would they send for secondary review just in two days time and do I now go direct or use a Lawyer to provide affidavit etc
what can you provide as proof of physical presence for a period you were not employed and were in Canada

Hi
  1. Sent May 9, 2017
  2. processing July 10, 2017
  3. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on July 13, 2017.
I have been to many countries but every country I leave, I take the entry and exit report from them (not for free of course).

If you want your app to be processed fast, let them feel you have nothing to hide by providing them with the reports.
Hello, good job!
How do we obtain entry/exit reports from countries we visited? Are the entry/exit stamps in the passports not enough to prove travel history?

This is not necessarily true! At least not for my case.

I applied for a PRTD last year. It took a month for the decision to be made and the date of issuing was August 18th, 2016. My process for renewal was in secondary review since May 26th, 2016. The new card was issued just March 26th, 2017 (7 months after PRTD issuance date).
Hi MatQue!
Where did you apply for PRTD and how come it took them a month to process?
Were you able to submit all requirements proving 730 days in Canada?

Hi, Everyone

I am really Surprised with some of the results

I sent my application in early May CIC received on 17th May ( courier confirmation) but when I checked the status of my application, online nothing showed not even showing that they have received the application website showing that they are processing application received on 17th may but I cannot see my case status.
Sent Urgent Processing request in June which was happily rejected.
When I call they say case in queue and will show online when the officer starts to work on it I need to travel mid of august not sure what are my options

Applying for travel document from India is out of question as it may take more than two weeks

Any suggestions or hope ??
Hi FM007!
Why did they reject your urgent processing request?
I am planning to apply for urgent processing as well for PR card renewal but I feel like they will just reject unless someone is dying.

am not saying i know it all but the best bet would be to get a letter from your parents or any body close with medical report of your grand mother and enclose a self attested letter to prove the relation or any document which can link your parents to her and you to your parents

Hello, good job!
How do we obtain entry/exit reports from countries we visited? Are the entry/exit stamps in the passports not enough to prove travel history?
Well, it depends on the countries you visited. Either from Airports (entry/exit departments), online (USA) or contacting embassies in Canada. I highly recommend everyone to limit their travels to minimum till getting the citizenship. The stamps should be enough, if you provide a colored copies of all previous passports that you have used. In Canada, no one can predict what would happen, all depends on the officer.
