Timeline? Help a confused girl out!

Hey!

So, can someone give me a general timeline of how this all happens? Once we send in our application, what's next? What do we expect? Please include details, if you can, like when you find out if you're approved to sponsor, when is medical needed, etc.

Also, does everyone have an interview that apply Inland? We are applying within Canada.

We applied inland in July 2015. I received my OWP at the end of September 2015. We didn't get the AOR until February 2016. We were told sponsor approval was sent out December 2016 but we never received it. I got approval in principle in December 2016. My landing letter arrived the beginning of January 2017, and then I landed Feb 2017.

At the landing interview they just make sure you've never been refused entry to Canada, etc. Simple questions.
