If the application hasn't been opened, you won't see any status.

Anyone successful in pulling up the status on ECAS using the payment receipt number (IMM5401)? Won't work for me.
Any recommendation on the best identification type to use if the payment receipt didn't work?

Hi spy118, Yes I tried receipt number and noticed the update.
Interesting fact : if you enter receipt number with primary applicant's details, you will see only his application status. But if you enter sponsor's details with receipt number you will see two status. Sponsorship approval status as well as primary applicants PR application status.

And use your details in remaining fields. If the status doesn't come up, means they haven't started yet. Don't worry. Hang on. Good luck. You are right next.

I have the same thing, but no messages. Not sure what it means, but someone else in this forum also has the same thing.

IMPORTANT INFO on LINKING APPLICATION: Most people may know but when you link application, make sure you enter number of applicants and include yourself. E.g. if you are sponsoring both parents, the number of family members is 3 (you, father and mother). I had been entering 2 since a month but recently read a post saying to include yourself. So I was able to link my application.
And I was also able to find application number despite not having received any email as yet.

How much income depends on how many members you have in your family and how many people you are sponsoring. You also need to have met the income requirement for three years in a row. For example, this year, if you had wanted to sponsor both your parent (no siblings) and your wife's parents (no siblings) and you have no children, then you would have had to meet the income requirement for six people which is around $75K for the last three years. - Do are need to be citizen or PR is sufficient?
- Income requirement you mentioned, is it before tax deduction or after tax deduction?

PR is fine.
Income before taxes i.e. Gross Income on your Notice of Assessment. Investment Income may not account.
