In addition to the ones stated above, check Scotiabank and icici bank site.

You can open accounts from India itself before you actually move to Canada. The account would be inactive till the time you do not visit a branch of that very bank in Canada. Also, they issue you a balance certificate which can be used as proof of funds.
....
Thanks....
Now,if one opens an account and transfer funds to that account, lets say more than 10K CAD (before arrival) do one needs to declared them while landing... or one needs to only declare funds, which he/she us carrying at the time of landing (in case they are more than 10k)

No such case I have heard of :)

I was not asked for any proof of funds. Plus I had my bank statements and a balance certificate from the bank. So, the chances of getting it verified online were minimal. It was just an extra measure from my side to make me feel confident that I have enough of evidence with me of proof of funds to prove to the IO.
You mean you had bank statements & balance certificate from the bank of your country of origin, right?

Even I am concerned about this query as I would be landing in September.

At the CIIP session, they have said that our bank statement may not work because the immigration officer wants to know that we can access the funds and how can we prove that we can access those funds which are there in a foreign bank? (Online access might help but not 100% sure I guess)

They actually recommended to get a statement from the bank, but with specific sentence to say that we can access these funds from Canada also. We also should make sure that, it is true that we can access them.

I have shown fixed deposit amount as PoF during the application process but now I have to check if I can access these funds from Canada.

Most of the people who landed say the officers have not asked them for PoFs but we better be prepared for the worst case.

International debit card for the account gives you access. This is ideally not the right way as one would end up paying more for conversion fee, however, can be used if the question is asked at POE and for emergency purposes.
Also, if we have that extra line added that money is accessible then also, I think we cannot transfer form our account (Indian one) to a Canadian one. We would still be required to fill Form A2(not sure if it can be done online, would like someone to confirm). This condition could, however be different in different countries.

YOu are right. Its better to be prepared. I have found one another way, query on which I have post in this thread.

You only need the latest bank statement. You can use the old letter that you submitted to IRCC. You cannot carry more than 10K CAD in cash/check. If you do, you will have to declare it, and it will be confiscated until you declare documentary proof of the source.
Dear @legalfalcon

I have claimed to show 16000 CAD by the time I received ITA, and I am going to show about a 1000 CADs over and above because of the salary i will receive in couple of days. My confusion is whether I can use a small amount, say about 500 CADs for daily expenditure, after I provide the pof in eAPR?

Please advise, so that I can plan accordingly.

Regards
