Waitng for more updates. What update are we waiting anyways? We got Decision made in Sponsor side, Medical passed in Principal Applicant. and received AIP letter.

Thanks :)
How long ago did you see your AIP letter. Does ECAS say DM on the applicant side? That will be the next update, and can be delayed if they are waiting for a security clearance.

Whatever would be normally culturally acceptable is what you should do. CIC will become interested if there is something that is out of the norm for your culture.

More importantly, you say "worker permit", but not PR... do you hold a PR?
No I dont hold a PR , I held a valid TRV with worker permit and currently working.
So it means i should just let my marriage license expire :( waste of money ... 140$

no needs to have a second marriage in Canada. But you mentioned marriage license... you need the certificate, not the license. You will simply need to have it officially translated (if it's not written in English or French).

Yes, I have the license but not the certificate. I wanted to ask you all before getting legally married here.
It means I should just let my license get expired?

You did say so!!!
I did say I was feeling it.
This morning I woke up . took my car to have the rims changed, came back made breakfast for the Mrs, then took her to work . . . wasn't feeling physically good so I opted for a long hot shower rather than hot tub . when I got out I said to myself, what's going on in the forum, we need some DM but I wasn't expecting mine
But God wanted me to slow down so I could appreciate that moment
I was hovering over my bed since. . . I feel like I could run around the world now

You need a PR or to be a citizen to be able to sponsor, regardless if you have e a license or certificate. If you're going into a program like foreign worker or EE, the result is PR, but you can bring your spouse that way.

To the second point, you must have a certificate. A license just permits you to marry. The certificate is proof that it actually happened.

Wait -- is it both sides, or for now just the sponsor??

hello,
I am looking forward to file my inland sponsorship along with pr process. I am currently on a worker permit with valid trv. I got married in Pakistan with my former bf now husband who is a Canadian in Jan 2017. We both came back to Canada and currently live together. Someone mentioned to us that if we get married in Canada as well our case might be stronger or its easy to just show the Canadian marriage cert instead of the Pakistan one so we got the marriage license which expires next month.
Do we get civil marriage? or religious? We both are muslims.
@profiler, in a previous post of @RKAZI , she mentioned that her husband is a Canadian, so they are fine. The only thing is to get the marriage certficate, which I'm sure, they can get from Pakistan. @RKAZI you probably can ask one of your family member (or husband's family) to get the marriage certificate for you in Pakistan and send it to you. Alternatively, you may check with a Pakistan consulate in Canada to see if you can order it through them.
