Hi all,

Just wanted to share some calming thoughts for everyone still waiting for positive news like movement out of NA to IP1 or 2, or the golden PPR: lots of people have been reassuring us to just hang it there and keep faith. They're all right. Let's not all get frustrated with news that some people have shorter timelines than us. I've been guilty of this. I have been feeling stuck in the rut of waiting but I realized that I could have been too expectant. Every case is different: number of dependents, number of countries visited that may or may not need police clearances, need to re-check your POF, proof of your work experience and education and your declared NOC, and maybe even communication with your authorized representatives. Breathe first and re-check your own timeline and how complex you think your case has been before dropping CIC an email or calling them. I keep telling myself now to stop comparing my timeline with those with shorter timelines since I know the earliest I really should start panicking is if it goes past 6 months (October in my timeline) without news.

Keep faith! We'll all get news soon, and hopefully it'll be golden! :)

Cheers,
Angeli
This is so true! Thanks for taking time to write this. It's an individual journey at the end.

I got a confirmation on 17 July, I was 4 days in IP2 status! So they must have approved it that day.
It seems that sometimes there is a delay even if application is approved, dunno whats the exact reason but in some occassions maybe they have a shortage in officers or they send it back to the lvo where they are supposed to send the email am not sure,am glad that i ordered my notes in case nothing new happened, btw i want is the finalization of the application mean?sending ppr email only or there is something else involved?

Thanks a lot for sharing some tips on job hunting @heynow. Much appreciated! I tried looking for forgo but nothing came up. Rather, a company named Fongo popped up in the search results. Is that what you meant? Also, what do you mean by non NA job experience? Does it mean non-Canadian work experience?

Fongo World is the app in iOS store, you can try their website. If that doesn't work then look for skype or any other company which gives you an Canada local number. What I have seen Fongo is the cheapest.
Thats correct, rarely companies give weightage to any Non North American work experience. There may be exception to this rule, but usually they don't. The best way to go about this is via your own networking. Any networking is better than complete dependence on job sites.
You should also try for any Canadian chapter of your current employer or past any organisations. Personally I don't think I will want to move any new location unless I have some "setting" there, landing with little money with dreams on a promised land is not my game. All the best :)

When its finalised, then only the PPR mail is left!

Thanks for throwing some light on the job hunting process to be followed while one is still outside Canada. Your advice is indeed useful. Once I get my PPR, I will start hunting for jobs just like you did. Btw, many congratulations on securing yourself a decent job in Canada!

My Additional document changed from "Additional documents received" to "We need additional documents.we will send a message" with no mail/update. Is it a glitch?
