How often does the officer give you and/or your employer a call to verify the employment?

My application is currently is stuck in NA and I have a feeling that they're going to do that next.

My background check never changed from "NA," and they never called my employer.

For CEC, they don't call much cuz most of the time they can verify it easily ( check with CRA). However for FSW, they do call but they will identify themselves.

Rarely do they call. They might verify your company address, website, etc. But calling is rare. How long have you been in NA? 2-3 weeks is normal.

I've been on NA since May 25th... So almost 2 months on NA..

No, they don't call CRA because they CAN'T call CRA unless you give them permission to. That's a violation of so many privacy laws. That's why people upload their tax returns to the application for PR because CIC has no access to CRA files. My lawyer said it's due to strict privacy laws here.
