Hi guys my application has been received on Friday but so far I can't get on ecas using my receipt number. Which ID number did you guys use? Will CIC email me to confirm that they got my application?

You will get an email from CIC..that's what we are referring to as AOR in the spreadsheet. In that they would give you a number using which you would be able to access your ecas. Looking at the last couple of months the AOR could take about a month or 2 to come..even more..so don't hold your breath

What is the procedure? How much time do you get between invitation for test and taking test? Do you chose your own date or you have to go take the test on specific day?

In the Acknowledgement of receipt, they will send a link to the study book so we are supposed to start studying at that point. You can look at the tracking spreadsheet (select a month from the past like January) to see how many days on average people are given. It appears that you will have about a month or even more to prepare between the invitation and the actual test. I do not think you get to choose - you will be given a specific date and if you cannot attend you will have to ask for a different date (if you are eager to prolonge this already long wait even further).
