Hahaha! Nice name, by the way ;) You love Trump, don't you? o_O
Yep, he is the reason I even considered emigrating from the US. I grew up in the US and have not lived outside this country. I decided on election night that I needed to leave. After some research, I decided on Canada 3 months ago and came to the conclusion that Canada would actually be a better place for me to live long term, beyond just protesting Trump.

Thank you for pointing this out but I don't think you will be banned for misrepresentation if you did not disclose all your accounts like credit cards, your application will just be marked as incomplete. I have been reading the reasons for rejection thread and never encountered such cases. You will not be banned for misrepresentation if you did not submit a PCC for a country where you stayed for more than 6 months, or if you selected a wrong NOC. Some misrepresentation examples are providing fraudulent documents like fake work reference letters or fake bank statements. @legalfalcon can give us more accurate answers on this matter.

When it comes to PoF, there is a lot of views floating around the forum on what to do and what not to. So lets get to the bottom of this and start from the law that applies to PoF.

The PoF is not a requirement in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act or the regulations. However, the ministerial instructions mandate that every applicant demonstrate that they have adequate funds to establish themselves in Canada. For this purpose they have made a minimum requirement which is revised periodically.

The IRCC requires applicants to disclose all their accounts, debts, loans, credit card etc. The bottom line is that IRCC wants to ensure that you have funds, and the funds you are demonstrating are not borrowed. Unless, you are in a partner country, IRCC has no means to find out your financial situation, however they can speculate from your education and salary. You need not disclose loans and debts, if they are not from the same financial institution where you have your bank account.

To sum it up:

1. If you have a credit card debt, which you pay every cycle, no need to disclose. If you are repaying a previous debt, and paying interest in it, you will need to disclose it.
2. Minor loans like a car loan, if not from the same back from which you are providing a PoF need not be disclosed. If they are from the same bank, you should.

The list can go on. The bottom line is that you should be on the verge of bankruptcy. Further, IRCC has no means to find your loans, especially from non partner countries (partner countries are US, UK, Australia and NZ). If the loans and debts are minor, it will be fine, big loans such as house loan should be disclosed.

However, always remember giving true information is you responsibility. Even after your application is approved, and you become a PR, your status can be struck off and you can be deported if IRCC finds that you lied and misrepresented.

They sent NOI to few NOCs (below 400) only when they announced in June end. But when they disclosed the NOCs that they are interested in, I didnt see anyone below 400 CRS and those who fall into that category, getting NOI post July 4th. Even till now no one reported.

If that change had been for only July 26th week, then why do they have to reveal the NOCs on July 4th? Are they still taking profiles having less than 400 CRS under the given NOCs?

I recreated my profile (as primary, CRS 390 , NOC 2283) on July 5th and i created my Husband profile(as primary, CRS 384, NOC 2173) on July 1st. We both have not received any NOI from Ontario so far. Highly disappointed and eagerly waiting now.
It was only for the week of June 26th. They haven't issued any NOI under this category. Looks like now many people have diverted their efforts to apply to OINP instead of waiting for CRS to go down in regular draws.

A win win situation for Ontario.

Thank you for your input. I've seen your posts and you always come across as very helpful and knowledgeable so your help is appreciated.

A quick question for you to aid my understanding of what you've said as there seems to be a contradiction in it the way I've read it:

"You need not disclose loans and debts, if they are not from the same financial institution where you have your bank account."....

" If you are repaying a previous debt, and paying interest in it, you will need to disclose it."
I have a couple of credit cards with a few thousand dollars outstanding on them. They are with a different bank to that which my POF is in. Must this be disclosed? I would imagine that the answer to this is yes on the basis that IRCC's website says you must disclose all accounts and also I am from the UK, a partner country where they could potentially find any undisclosed debts. I have nothing to hide to IRCC and I am happy to disclose everything, but I don't want to disclose more than is necessary as this would only confuse the immigration officer who reviews my case.
