COPR is valid for entry to Canada multiple times but airlines do not recognize them i.e. COPR can be used to enter Canada from a land border but if one would like to fly into Canada one would need a PR card.

Yes you can. This Document is valid till you get citizenship as this document will be required to obtain citizenship status.

April last week is still waiting so we may see our cards in 2-3 weeks minimum.

My landing date was 7th May. I spoke to the CIC agent yesterday and they have shipped the card yesterday at 2:30PM.

I hope they have started processing PR cards for May landings.

Decided to give CIC a call since yours was shipped. I landed on May 6th. It was a 35 minute wait on the phone but they said my card was mailed out yesterday also. Thanks for informing us of your call. I most likely wouldn't have called if I didn't see your post.

No It doesn't . It just goes as per the processing time from your landing date irrespective of where you land.

The CSBA officer asked for my current work permit upon landing at Rainbow bridge. I think it depends on the officer processing your application. It's better to be on the safe side landing before the WP expires otherwise be prepared to have a good answer if questioned

Just updating on my landing situation in case anybody ever ends up in a situation like me: My WP was expired by one day when I landed. Officer asked me for my WP, looked at it but did not ask any questions. So everything went smooth.
