I knew mine via the CSQ as it is mention in there.
When I requested the CAIPS it was mentioned in the report too.
I believe your VO might be AVDO

If it is a recent application, it is likely being processed in London as they started processing new applications from the gulf there.

I just received my gcms notes and my file is stuck at the background check. After extensive research in this forum, it turns out that a lot of applicants from Middle East region and sketchy countries (also those with extensive travels to 'unattractive' countries) go through 'security screening', which is a more extensive and longer background check process than normal applicants. If your gcms notes say under the security part that you're undergoing 'security screening', it will probably be at least 6-12 months for you to pass this stage alone. Does anyone have any experience with this?

my bg check is on going since May 2016 and till today the same situation, as per the Visa Office is not done yet, its 16 months now since i submitted my application

Our friend Hanzmolar reminded us about last year. There was a big silence during july Aug and Sept. October was a surprising month for many applicants.

I have been waiting for my second medical request for last 19 months and total file time has been reached to 23 months. Still, looking no sign of any near future update from Abu Dhabi Visa Office.....seems as if I am stuck!

Believe me its not only Abu Dhabi, i finished 16 Months and till now nothing, background check in process since 15 months and seems no end for that. I got enough from waiting.
Still i have the hope to receive something soon, wish luck for all of us and that journey of waiting will end soon.

Yesterday I sent one message to my consultant asking if I take the medical and pay the RPRF up front may be this can squeeze my application and let it have some movement.
Anyways, I still believe that when Allah wants it to be then it will and some day we will share some good tea together in Quebec. I believe in that Bro

I paid the landing fees upfront and after a month the receipt number was linked to my application. As for the medical, I contacted the hospital designated in Kuwait to ask them about the possibility of doing the medical without being requested and they said it can't be done.

Oh yeah thats a great idea there Hanzmolar. Of course I have a positive feeling it is a great thing to do too MGAZI. Just go head and do same as our brother and lets see what it gets for us. The fact is that your files are all there and just waiting for someone to pick them up and process. It is not any magic we are waiting for.....it is something that has to be done. It is someones job, and he or she is being well paid and monitored to do it. So just try to raise some dust from your files by paying and emailing them the receipt, yes that can be the key.
