Hi Stylove,
Congratulations on getting a job at start.
May i ask how did you do your comparative evaluation? Is it from MIDI? Even though we have CSQ, do we need to do it again as i believe they evaluate our credentials during CSQ stage.
I would be grateful if you roughly explain the steps for comparative evaluation of the educational credential. How long does it take to complete this?

Comparative evaluation as the name says is an evaluation done by midi. It's totally different from the CSQ. Easy to apply....you just go to the MIDI website and search for evaluation comparative and you will get the guidelines on how to apply for it. Simply entails sending your educational documents including transcripts and paying for them to compare it to Quebec standards. Within 3 to 6 months you will get a certificate from them that specifies what level of education your diplomas equate to. Good luck

Consultant told me to wait 6-8 weeks with ADVO.

Two days back I received an email from IRCC that they send the request of status to ADVO so I am kind of expecting any communication from them in the incoming 2 or 3 months (I am optimistic you know)

I received AOR in Feb 2016 and i have not been called from medicals.

Pray for me bro. I think I am the oldest applicant in the whole world right now, with more than 16 months, having only the AOR.

I received an email fom IRCC with the following: "Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We have forwarded the information you provided to the responsible office. However, since your file is located at the Canadian visa office in Abu Dhabi"

and the 2nd message from my consultant: "They have confirmed receipt of our status request, and have forwarded our message to the Visa Office in Abu Dhabi. We will inform you once we receive any further communication on your behalf"

That's it

Yes I did the same. I have not received a reply from them and it has been over 6 weeks.

I was also asked few months ago to send updated forms and PCC. Does this mean that they are now only beginning to process the application?

I don't think they will ask for updated documents and PCC for you.

in my case also PCC was expired but they didn't ask.

Immigration Canada is requesting for the updated forms and send to abu dahbi office to assess my eligibility and admissibility.

please tell me if any body has same problem or same step and how long they will take and after i hope they will ask passport request.

i have done medical in month of November.
