I called CIC many times today for rescheduling the landing interview, but none succeeded to get an agent, and there is no email response either. Don't know whether I should cancel the trip to the US, or just take the flight and keep calling them while staying in the US...

I suggest calling through the citizenship line. It will more than likely work. You have an hour and 45 mins to get through to them before the weekend arrives and have to try on Monday.

Ever tried to reach them after 4:30? I found that usually I would be able to get people later. Makes sense, because BC/AB/SK

I sent my passport copy with the application and never got asked to submit anything other than medical and Fingerprinting Police Report.

It's possible they fixed the loophole. But I know a few times that I did call them off hours. Once was actually while we were on the way to the courier to send the package -- 6:05pm ET to be exact. To double check that I put the OWP in the same courier package. The lady I got was pretty rude, in fact...

They are sent by the landing office. This is decided based on postal code. So, because of that, it will be highly variable. Which landing office is closest to you?

I didn't say which royal. Apparently the wife lost her Russian state health identification (card??). So, she was just going to go and hope for no problems. It's always a good day to find out your benefit plan covers stuff you didn't think about.

Now, who is going to pay for the surgery to fix her tooth???? I should say 3 surgeries over the next year.

Our benefits will pay for some of it for sure. But they have already stated they won't pay for "implant".

lmao! Become that which I loathe... there is something about that, that feels .... hmm.... WRONG? I am not sure I could afford the extra soap or water that I would be using trying to scrub the dirty away!

$2k each surgery. First one July 24th they will pull the old tooth out and dig (deep) into the gum and jaw to get the pieces of the rod they put in to anchor the tooth during a root canal they did in Moscow some years ago.

The rod became brittle and broke because the jaw bone is receding (unknown cause, according to the peridontist). So, they have to put in some "donor bone" to build it up again. Let heal 4-8 mos.

Next up is a screw into her skull to hold the new crown in. Then install the crown some 4 months later.

Generally no. But each office is different, right? You can try calling (I know, I know. Hateful task). and express that your partner needs notice so he can return home (if memory serves). They can give you an idea when you should hear from CIC-St John's. They will also typically dispatch a reminder message to the office to schedule the landing.

If anyone contacts Cohen or Campbell to ask about fixing the forum (or one of them read this), I am no longer #LazyAF. Writing a post and having the page reload and I lose all of my typings is pissing me off today.

No, you call the same number you were calling before but then instead of going through sponsorship, follow the keys to get through citizenship and then they'll transfer you

We are really so happy, can't really explain. Yesterday a case officer who had been working on our case called me and confirmed the address with me and told me that she is gonna make her decision in couple of weeks. I guess she was talking about landing because from 6th to 20th it's exactly 2 weeks. And today my representative called me with this good news. They have been waking me up in the morning from yesterday to give me good news, but I will take good news like these at any time. I don't mind.
