Hey guys, as per the immigration visa, my parents are due to land in Canada at the end of May. But it is hard to tell if the pandemic would get better by that time, I am wondering if the expiry date of the immigration visa could be extended in case the trip can't be made? Thanks!

Update: Requested for rescheduling landing interview date at the beginning of July, and they made it rescheduled just 10 days later. The new date gonna be this Thursday, July 27. Should thumb up to CIC's working efficiency. Much faster than before.

After 45-minute wait, an agent answered my call. He made a note in the file and told me to wait for reply from CIC officers. Got kinda eased, but not completely until new landing interview date confirmed.

This morning received landing interview email, scheduled on July 13. But we are in the States and can't show up, so wrote an email to CIC for rescheduling. Will they arrange the new date like months after?

Today I checked status online, and surprisingly found both the sponsor and applicant status have been "decision made", but no more details provided, nor have I received any email or letter. Concerned that maybe it is a decision of REJECTION made?

They are processing applications before Apr 5, 2016. But my case of Apr 1, 2016 got no news at all...

They started processing my case on Apr 1, 2016. So I think it is anytime soon, but you know, waiting is painful.

I just called IRCC and they are still processing applications before Mar 28, 2016. Sigh.
