Yes
everything is through EE and the regular draws...
after u (or ur rep / lawyer) creates ur EE profile you'll be ranked based on the CRS score, and U'll get an ITA if cut off is below ur CRS...
however, provinces can nominate profiles they are interested in and they decide whom to nominate the criteria for selection...if any one province nominates you, they will send their nomination to CIC and on the basis of nomination, you will get 600 points extra which means automatic ITA in the very next draw...
at present Ontario is sending notifications of interest to profiles created very recently & having CRS 400...Ontario officials only know the criteria of selection and we will know only by re-creating ones profile... and if u withdraw the old EE profile and create a new one and find a notification of interest in your account, the next step is to approach Ontario to accept the interest...you have 6 months to do that and from the date of acceptance another 14 days to submit ur application to Ontario to nominate you...then they will process ur application & decide whether to nominate you or not and will convey the same to you and CIC...if they do nominate, your profile will show 'nomination received : yes' & CRS : 1003...and thereafter it is the regular process ...next draw comes and you'll anyway be above cut off and you get 90 days to file eAPR...
catches are
1. Stringent documentation to apply for nomination
2. $ 1500 non refundable fee along with application & yet no guarantee of nomination
3. You will have to stay in Ontario for X number of years post landing.
getting a nomination was a great back up plan when the cut off scores stayed near 500...now,not so much...
anyway,in ur sons case,IELTS @ CLB 9 band ( 8L & 7in RSW)..it will take him to 453+...
Nice work! I applaud you for your detail explanations and patience! :)

Hello guys,

I am a little confused here. my CRS is 405 . Appeared for ielts 3 times and couldnt get 9 clb just by 0.5 point everytime. Next available ielts date is 29th july therefore 1.5 months to get my results. I have just Just recieved Ontario PNP NOI (i do not have strong ties to ontario, just one family friend and a friend, brother is going for bachelors and has received acceptance letter but no visa).

Should i go for PNP or should i wait for the CRS to come down or should I book IELTS again?

Please help me out
My current crs is 410, but i will lose 5 points in a couple of months due to age. Most likely crs will drop to 405, but what if it doesnt? If you can spend 1500 CAD, i would highly suggest you go for it. Some will tell you that you are throwing away $1500, but what is $1500 if it helps you settle down in canada? If you look at oinp specific threads, you will see a lot of applicants in low 400s getting nomination from ontario and increasing their crs. Also, ontario is processing applications within a few weeks now. In fact some ppl that applied in june, had their application processed within a week. You dont need strong ties to ontario. You just need to show why it appeals to you and why you are interested in setting down there (jobs, education...)

Nice work! I applaud you for your detail explanations and patience! :)
I've been on this end of not knowing what to do and where to check...
believe me,in Jan I went to a leading Canada immigration consultant in our country (headquartered in Canada with world over presence) after an online assessment agency replied that I might get around 450 points, after going through my questionnaire...
the person at the consultant entered my details and assessed my score to be 350+ and told me bluntly that it was of no use....I had only registered for my IELTS and she may have had put me at CLB7...i came back disheartened...and that was when I did a bit of research myself and found CRS calculator from canadavisa....and I found out that everything boiled down to IELTS...gave a bit of time for preperation and God was on my side and now I'm home...CLB10...:)...even then I wanted to go to a consultant as I didn't know anything about the process
thereafter a cousin suggested this forum and it is the input from all the members gave me the confidence to do it on my own...and believe me,with a consultant I wouldn't have had a Yukon party in the offing...and if I succeed in my dreams (remember the house overlooking the ocean) couple of years down the line, I don't have to spend lonely Christmases..(family will be there...but having an extended family is great...):D....
and I do have time and patience (till it runs out :()...so here I'm...
anyway all of you've been great too..and this ROH has some bonding...:)..
thanks for the compliment...( I had looked at my last reply and told myself I must be p*****g off other seniors for leaving no work for the seekers and had almost decided not to do anymore lengthy replies..but ur reply tells me it is okay despite the desperation of the delay...:(

Now that we all agree that the 66th Draw will be conducted on 28th June, we can wait until then. Oh, and how I love co-incidences. I am guessing that the cut-off CRS might co-incide with the number of pages that this thread manages to reach :D.

My refresh party. Server checks CIC every 5 minutes ( Nice mode) for a change. If a change is found it would send me a mail
Isn't this some sort of "brute force"? Don't do it please, it might do no good to the IRCC website by constantly pinging it, and consequently does worse to us patients!!

Haha, if that's the case, I think everyone will stop posting here. 343 CRS cutoff surely helps :D

Just re-create to get one. Mostly they are sending on Friday's at around 1-2 PM (Ottawa time).

Note:- Processing time is very fast now. some are getting Nominated Status in 7-14 days. (1 Profile got Nomination in 4-5 days after submitting online application)

I opt to go with OINP to avoid suffering from lack of draws and it's difficult to wait and watch now at 406. :D:D
Just recreated my profile and almost instantly I received 2 emails and the status changed to submitted. Quite quick considering the CIC website took forever to load.
Anyway, quick question to the seniors here, I decided to submit only one of my jobs in work experience section. I have 4 and half years experience in that NOC. Did not even mention the previous job because, in case of NOI, I will have trouble getting the reference letter from that company. Is this ok? or will it be misrepresentation? I can include it in my personal history later maybe?
