I honestly do not know why all y'all are applying for the OINP. Unless you received your Expression of Interest letter at least 4 months ago, what's the point on paying 1500 CAD, not to mention all additional translations and documental charges, to STILL depend on a draw? Afaik, Canada has a goal of approx. 73k ITAs this year, and so far about 30k have been handed out. Unless you have really low scores, I don't see the point. The EOI is valid for 6 months, and it takes time to process, so you might end up tossing 1500 CAD in the trash.

As per my understanding 73k PRs are target which includes dependents & what I read in May was that 32k ITAs were sent till April. Add ~8k for May. Assuming 1.5 applicant per ITA, 60k are invited till now. CIC is heavily burdened with applications submitted so far. I understand this is ray of hope thread. But we must accept that CIC may slow down now or later this year. Even I'm worried that if my application gets rejected for some reason, it might be difficult to get ITA again.

I wish best for you all. & I do understand desperation you all are feeling. I don't want to spread pessimism, however if there is alternate available; hold it.

quick question, my spouse works but when filling my form we choose the option that she doesn't have a work history. But am aware that once ITA is issued one would need to provide personal history and under personal history one can declare all places one has worked without having to get references for them .

Is this assumption correct. Thank you

Issued ITAs are nor equal to approved PRs.

take a cue

EDIT: btw softwaretesting, I wonder if these 73k PRs does include family, as they are listed as a separate topic in that post i mentioned here

It is correct.
They confirmed this in a past Q&A session a couple weeks ago.

this post is also very mature. your parents must be proud. Canada will be blessed by having you as a resident.

Since you know so much about me, let me tell you I am proud of everything that I achieved in my life all on my own despite not having parents or anyone holding my back! Second I am also proud to know right from wrong ergo you're trolling here is not welcomed!

Actually he's being the mature one in this conversation, and you're the one being toxic, so maybe back down just a bit.

I agree. However, rejections are just about 1% of applications. I know many applicants don't accept invitation because of different reasons, however expecting that CIC will keep issuing ~8k ITAs per month is not correct.
