yes humidity is a big factor. I traveled in Columbia in 2005, we had everyday 40+ C with above 90% humidity. I couldn't do anything. I was just sweating doing nothing. Last summer, I traveled to Iran and we also had 40-45 C everyday, but with very dry air. That was really easily tolerable.

But that's the first time in my life that I hear they ground flight because of excessive heat.
The +40 Humidex days are... shite. That's patio + cold beer weather. My wife likes to swim in either Lake Erie or Lake Ontario on those days to cool down.

When I went to Wegas, I got off the plane wearing a jacket/jeans (It was April -- dress appropriately!). The people thought I was crazy. It was only 24*. But yeah the dry sucks for any period of time. We got nose bleeds from the air.

@dskeard : How long have you been in NFLD? That's a dramatic difference (Phoenix -> NFLD)!

What kind of proof of income do they need? Option C printout? Thanks!
@VC102
Pay slips from an employer is enough... But I didn't need that at all for CIC-Kitch... they didn't even care who I was. No ID required.

Thanks! Coz I got a bit worried, I am currently unemployed. I have to quit work because I have to prepare and review for examinations. Nurse licensure this month then english proficiency exam in July. I hope this won't be an issue. We used to live in Kitchener but we moved in Belleville last May. Where do you think we will have our landing office? any idea? thanks a lot profiler!

Landing sites are assigned by your current postal code. Assuming you told CIC you moved, then it will likely be either (in order of probability):
Ottawa
200 Catherine St.
Suite 101
Ottawa, ON
K2P 2K9

or
Toronto (Etobicoke)
5343 Dundas Street West, Suite 105
Toronto, ON
M9B 6K5

I am surprised there isn't one in Kingston?! Mostly concentrated in the Golden Horseshoe (GTA-> West).

Only the PA would need to prove income. But I am surprised they even asked that??? They didn't ask me, and I switched my job 3 times!

Nope -- no global warming... it's a hoax...

In this area of Ontario, we are nestled in-between 3 of the Great Lakes. When it warms up, we get humidity x100. The air tends to get so thick, you can see the water. We get in the 30*C range for most of the summer. But there are days that the Humidex (Temp + Humidity) *feel like* 40-42*C (So ~108*F).
Yuck!! For most of the summer??
Humidex here today is 30*C, thats my limit. I dont do humidity well.

Been on west coast NFLD for 5 years, love it here. Love the laid back attitude, the greenery, fishing, country girl at heart so this is the place for me :)
Yes a dramatic difference. Was born in raised on the East coast of USA, New Jersey and Maine to be exact. Lived most of adult life in AZ, dont miss it one bit.
Those dry temps, although they do have Monsoon season (which is happening now) where there are storms almost every evening and the humidity is bad...during the day it hits you like an oven door being opened in your face. Scorcher!

At least a week in July and definitely for sure most of August. It's like living in a Sauna. You look out to the horizon and see the bluey-grey "haze".... that's water. 90% humidity is common.

The humidity makes it hard to breathe. So, it's best to enjoy the heat on a patio with a cold beer :)

Thanks a lot profiler! I've read some posts in this thread that London usually asks about proof of income. So it is good to assume my wife (PA), will have her landing interview in Etobicoke. and I haven't read any posts about Etobicoke asking for proof of income from the sponsor.

Anyways, If in case they will ask for my proof of income, I'll just bring my Option C from 2015 and 2016 then all of my payslips from Jan2017-May2017. Then bring my scheduled exam dates proof so that I can explain that I was preparing for examinations and also waiting for the result of the exam.

My wife and I are a bit excited, because we've read that CIC are already starting to review July applicants. We sent our application July 22, 2016. Our application will be opened soon! :)

Thanks Profiler. Was just worried and wanted to make sure that it wasnt a precursor to anything bad. I wish someone who got dm and landed with a similar gcsm notes partial release would share his or her experience.

The attitude is an east-coast thing. I totally know what you are getting at. Much of Canada is like that (sans ocean). This area is on the same latitude as Sacramento, Rome, etc. So it does get hot here. But never a dry heat.

Yeah they are in July now (they jumped passed a bunch, which I don't find fair). Your wife will land in Ottawa... 99.995% chance of that. I wouldn't worry about proof of income. Just show how you support yourself. Option C would work.

We're about an hour from at least 3 beaches. The lakes are deep enough that they always work to cool you down. Most of those beaches have bar/patio's. So, I am always game to go :)
