The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. The following is required to complete your application and for CPC-Ottawa to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5688) and permanent residence visa (if a visa is required).
STEP 1: CHANGE IN PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES (If none of these conditions applies to you, you may proceed to STEP 2)
Have your family composition, personal circumstances or address changed since our last correspondence?
 Family status (e.g. marriage or common-law union, divorce, annulment, legal separation, birth, adoption, death of the sponsor, principal applicant or any accompanying family member, including grandchildren born to dependent children); or
 You or any of your family members being charged or convicted of a criminal offence; or
 Changes to mailing address/e-mail address/telephone number/contact information. Failure to inform CIC of any of these changes may delay processing, may result in the cancellation of your immigrant visas and may render you and your family members inadmissible to Canada. Once your file is closed, you would be required to submit a new application and pay new processing fees. Any new application would be assessed under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations in force at the time of its submission. Any new spouse and/or children, whether accompanying or not, must be added to your application and be found admissible to Canada under the Act and Regulations before your case is finalized. Failure to inform CIC of dependent family members during your application processing will permanently exclude them from later sponsorship in the Family Class. If any of these conditions apply, you must inform CPC-Ottawa immediately by e-mail: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca Please include with your e-mail the evidence that supports the change, such as copies of official certificates or a letter of explanation.
STEP 2: PASSPORT(S), PHOTOS AND BIO DATA REQUEST
Determine if you are a citizen of a country that is required to obtain a visa to visit Canada or that is exempt from obtaining a visa to visit Canada under Section 190 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). Consult the CIC webpage : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp#exemptions
If you are required to obtain a visa:
 We require a valid passport for you and all accompanying family members. Passports must be submitted together. Each passport must be valid at least six months have at least two blank visa pages. If there are children included in your passport there must be two blank visa pages for them as well. Please note that a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5688) and visa cannot be issued to holders of Diplomatic, Official or Military passports. You must obtain an ordinary passport.
 We require 2 Immigration size photos with the specifications listed on the following link: (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3998E_tempA.pdf). Photos are required for you and for each accompanying family member.
 Please complete the Bio Data form included at the end of this letter.
Please note that CPC-Ottawa does not send out passports outside of North America. If you or any of your family members are residing outside North America and you are unable to send your/their passport(s) to Canada and/or to provide a return mailing address in North America, contact us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca or by fax at 613-946-6059 so that we can make arrangements to print visas at another office.
If you are exempt from obtaining a visa:
 We require a photocopy of your passport (all pages) for you and all accompanying family members. Photocopies must be submitted together. Do not send an original passport for any person who is a citizen of a visa exempt country. Each passport must be valid at least six months. Please note that a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5688) cannot be issued to holders of Diplomatic, Official or Military passports.
STEP 3: SUBMITTING DOCUMENTS : How to Send your Documents to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa (CPC-O)
If you and your dependants reside in Canada or the United States, submit all documents by mail in a single package. Quote your application number on your correspondence and send the package to one of the following addresses:
Canada Post:
CPC – Ottawa
PO Box 9780
Ottawa ON K1G 4B9
Courier:
CPC – Ottawa
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON K1A 1L1
If you have a mailing address in Canada: To allow you to track your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5688) and, if a visa is required, your passport through the mail, you must purchase two (2) PREPAID Canada Post Xpresspost envelopes (National), letter-sized (318 x 241 mm), at any Canada Post retail outlet.
- Complete the mailing label on one envelope showing your mailing address in the “Deliver To” field.
- Keep a tracking number sticker from each envelope.
- Fold and enclose the self-addressed envelope in the other envelope along with your passport(s) or passport copies, as the case may be, photos, Bio data form and a copy of this request letter.
- If you do not submit a return prepaid Xpresspost envelope, you will be contacted by our office to arrange the Xpresspost service, which may delay your application.
- We do not accept registered mail or postage coupons, or return passports by regular mail.
- We do not return passports by private courier in Canada.
If you have a mailing address in the United States: To allow you to track your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5688) and, if a visa is required, your passport through the mail, you must purchase a pre-paid shipping label from Canada Post and include it with your passports and a copy of this letter. Follow the link to purchase your shipping label:
http://www.canadapost.ca/personal/tools/cst/intro-e.asp
Clients located in the US only, if unable to submit a pre-paid Canada Post shipping label, should provide an envelope from a private courier for the return of their passports. We do not accept registered mail or postage coupons.
For reasons of passport security, CPC-Ottawa does not return passports by regular mail. CPC-Ottawa accepts no responsibility for any passport lost in the mail. These instructions are also highly recommended for persons exempted from a visa. If you are exempted from a visa and do not submit a return prepaid Xpresspost envelope, we will return your Confirmation of Permanent Residence by regular mail.
The requested information/documents must be received in our office within 30 days from the date of this letter. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application.
Final Note
The issuance of your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5688) and visa (if a visa is required) cannot be delayed so it is important for you to submit your passport(s) or passport copies as soon as possible. An expiration date (dd/mm/yy) will be indicated on these documents and you must obtain permanent residence on or before that date. If you are not prepared to live permanently in Canada immediately after your permanent residence is granted, please consult the Application for a Permanent Resident Card (PR Card) Instruction Guide on the CIC w

Hello guys,

I have following questions related to PPR/after PPR task:

1) I received an email with subject line "ready for visa" but no attachment. While submitting passport am I supposed to print whole email and fillup the last part name APPENDIX-B? or print only APPENDIX-B part from the email?

2) Do we need to submit our OLD passport along with the new one or only NEW will be sufficient?

3) I am the principal applicant and I live in Bangladesh. My wife is in Canada now. Now they ask me to send the passport to Singapore through local VFS. I can send mine but what I will do with my wife's passport?
- Can I just send my passport to Singapore and ask my wife to send her passport to Canada VO?
- Do I need to take IRCC permission first by requesting for change of my wife's VO to Canada?
- Is there any specific email format/form we have or just email will do? Which email address?
- If I email them to change my wife's VO do I have to wait for their response too or I can go ahead and submit MY passport? The thing is Singapore VO will take almost a month to send back passport so I want to send mine asap.

I know there might be some discussion about this issue but I was only focusing on getting PPR that time that avoided reading anything else. Can anyone ans/clarify/show me the link of previous posts/forum etc.

Thanks
