..... from the time Australia VO started processing my file, I waited 3.5 months for a medical request. Then another 1.5 months for passport request.....

Am I correct in assuming you applied under the old format? We applied under the old format and did our medicals upfront. Hopefully that will mean slightly less to-and-froing with regards to our request. Probably just wishful thinking though :)

Hi Mr moose, there's no such thing as old format for PNP applicants. I applied under Quebec skilled worker. And we don't have the option to send upfront medical as it's not allowed according to guidelines on ircc website.. We really have to wait until the visa office request for it.. And as far as I know only Family sponsorship were allowed to do such upfront medicals.. but I think they have already scrapped it out too for family applications..

Ahh right. Thanks for the information. I wasn't aware of that.

I have read in the past that they are usually granted in batches however i haven't seen any proof of that lately. Everything seems a little random. I had a look at the September spreadsheet and saw there was one person going through Syd and they were processed in Mid Jan. I couldn't see anyone on the Aug and any others in the Oct going through Syd. I really think you'll get your PPR very soon. Have a dig around the forums and see if you can find anyone else in the Syd office so you have something to compare.

Hi where is this spreadsheet? It would help greatly! Thanks

Well, after getting my initial AOR, tried to link my application fifteen times(!) over 3 days without success Double/triple checked everything..... still no dice.

Where could I possibly be going wrong??

Hello mate, try not to fill up the city/town of birth and country/territory of birth. Make sure to put the given name and family name exactly you wrote in your generic form when you submitted your app or try different combination every day. By the way you can also check your status via ecas. In my experience I tried linking every single day with different combination and then after a month I successfully linked my app. Good luck!

Hi everyone,

Kiwi living in Australia. My partner is Canadian currently living in Manitoba with our newly born twin girls.

Application was sent on 6 June 2017 and Canada Post track and trace confirms it was received in Mississauga on 9 June 2017.

I'm guessing it'll prob take over a month to receive the first email confirmation ?

Here's hoping its a quick process although I think it may be delayed as I will most likely need RCMP clearance as I've lived there for 12 months.

Anyone come across this?

My app was sent April 18, got the first email on June 2. Then just a few days ago got the request to send thru background info & police record. Be aware that you are only giving CIC the right to request the report from NZ Police..... you don't actually go to a cop shop and get one yourself...

I meant requesting a police clearance via RCMP in Canada as I lived there for a year? I know I can only authorise CIC to request my police record from NZ Police, and unfortunately that I live in Australia I also have to get a police clearance here lol.

I applied under the old format for Family sponsorship. Under that format you had to get police clearances from any country where you stayed for more than 12 months. I got one from the UK as we lived there for a few years a little less than a decade ago. Took around a month to get it I reckon.

Good luck.

We just received PPR via MyCic today!

So very happy to have some further certainty now.

Our application was received on Jan 19th and they started processing on Feb 23rd.

Good luck to everyone. Hopefully you all get some good news soon.

Hey all
So I finally got PPR today! I have a question though - do I actually need to send my passport, or does Australia qualify as visa exempt and therefore only need to send a photocopy? I feel like I should be able to figure this out, but I'm in the middle of exams and I think I'm overthinking everything.
thanks for any help!!!
