Hello Angelengel,

I started CSQ application in February 2011 and got nomination after several documents request letters and higher french language result, in October 2015.

I filed visa application in March 2016 and was called for interview in Sydney in May, but couldn't attend May interview. I attended interview in August 2016 and got medical request the following day after interview.

I did medical in September 2016 and got PPR in May 2017.

What a journey!!!

I think they sent PPRs in batches. Seems like we both got PPR this May. Hope we get our COPRs soon.

1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 18, 2017.
2. We started processing your application on April 10, 2017.
3. Medical results have been received.

I'm wondering what people's time from 'started processing' (April 10 in my case) to PPR have been through Sydney VO? I suspect it's a vague question as each case is different but thought I'd asked anyway.

My wife and 4 kids are dual Australian/Canadian citizens, have already relocated back to Canada while I continue to work in Australia travelling back every 2 months and I'm the Australian.

In my Case I got PPR 5 months after "Started Processing".... waiting for my passport back with COPR..

Hey everyone, sent my Family Sponsorship app to Mississauga from Wellington, NZ on April 18. No replies or emails as yet.

The missus is canadian, she's the sponsor. Do we get an email from CIC once they've received it? Then they send it Sydney?

Wait for AORs and further emails. Most likely your file will be forwarded to Sydney,Australia for further processing. All the best mate! I'm from NZ too.

Hey man, just noticed your timeline.... from when you sent your app to the time the file was transferred (to Sydney?).... took 5 months? Did you get notification your file was being sent?

Then a further 3+ months to have meds requested?

The reason I ask is that I'm preparing myself for 6 months of having no idea where my application is, or if it even arrived in Canada to begin with. Any thoughts on the communications you received from CIC?

Yes. After I got the AOR(2) which states that your file has been received by cic. Same as the first AOR but the sender is the Visa Section in Sydney, Australia.. so that's clue that it has been tranferred.. from the time Australia VO started processing my file, I waited 3.5 months for a medical request. Then another 1.5 months for passport request.. then i got mybpassport back in 2 wks after sending it to visa office.. Cheers mate!
