Hi all

I received my ITA and am in the process of applying for my PCC. I had worked in Singapore for more than 6 months 4 years ago and would require to get the PCC for Singapore as well. As I am not a citizen of Singapore and currently not in Singapore, Could you guide me in the steps to be followed in order to obtain it.
I have read the CIC page for Singapore PCC application process but I still am not clear about the process.

Some of the doubts that I have are as follows:

1. What is the first step to be taken.....There is a login page in the SPF website where we can login with our FIN number but that also requires an eApplication Number- I do not know how to get it.

2. How to get the fingerprints taken and send - I have no clue on how to send or where to take the fingerprint from

3. How to get the request letter from CIC (as it is mentioned in the checklist in the CIC site)

I would really appreciate a detailed guidance as I totally unaware about the process. Hope I made my doubt clear :)

Step 1 - You have to appeal and request for a COC from Singapore - http://www.police.gov.sg/e-services/apply/certificate-of-clearance
For this you need your FIN number, ITA and supporting documents as needed. Once you submit the appeal, they will approve or deny within 5 to 7 working days

Step 2 - If your appeal is approved, then you need to take the confirmation obtain fingerprints and send them to SPF at the address. They will process your PCC and send it to you at the address provided

Fingerprints - you can get them taken anywhere in your country and send them
The request letter from CIC - is the actual procedure. You submit your PR documents and upload a request letter for Singapore PCC instead of the actual PCC. If your documents are all in order then they will send you the letter and give you 30 days to obtain and submit the PCC from SPF. What you are attempting to do now if obtain the COC upfront on the basis of the ITA rather than the request letter. It will save you some time in the actual PR process if you submit it upfront.

Please refer to the SPF link for more info

Hope this helps.

Thank you @karthik2479 for the valuable info...

I have 2 doubts though...
1. When you say appeal and request for COC, should I appeal by e-mail or by post?

2. the fingerprints can be taken anywhere or at certain agencies only? A colleague told me that if I apply at the local police station they guide me to the nearest authorized agency for it.....or would SPF inform me about the centers that they authorize.

Please see the first link I shared - it is where you can file your appeal online.

You can get fingerprints anywhere since you are outside Singapore. Check if your local police department can do it or Google for any fingerprinting agencies. SPF does not mandate where to get it from. Hope this helps.

Can you advise if singapore PCC has any time period or address of the applicant? Thanks

Fingerprint authorization in POLAND is confusing for me. where should I ask for this in POLAND? why police stations will do that? in India no police station does it
