Hey All,

I had a quick query. I am planning on visiting Pakistan soon, and I am working as a volunteer under my PGWP. Would I have an issue in getting a protector stamp? Like my job is not a paid one, does that matter? I have an open work permit, can I just get a regular protector stamp then?

Do I need this stamp every time I visit?

Can someone please let me know. Thank you so much!

Best,
Bend

As far as I know, unless you change the country, it is valid, you dont have to renew it again. Please do confirm it. Also you can go to the office, where protector are issued and ask them as well. If I get any information, I will surely update you.

Just one quick question, do you have any idea about open work permit for Canada? Is the rule any different in case of non-employer centric permit.

Sorry, never heard of non-employer centric permit. I know about Open Work Permit for sure. but nothing about the other one.

If you based in karachi, then the protector office is behind KFC on Shahrah-e-Faisal.

Hey yeah I meant open work permit. I am concerned about the fact that I am working as a volunteer and would not be doing a paid job at the time of travelling.

Can they write open work permit in place of an employer in the protector?
Whether you work or not!!! they will stamp your passport and will write your profession in there. For example if you are an engineer they will write engineer.

For Protector stamp you don't have to be employed.

It is only one time thing.

Thank you. Hopefully it will all be fine. I wanted it to state foreign worker and open work permit, because currently I don't have the license to practice law in Canada.

Hey guys I got my protector stamp done today. Thank you for the help. I don't have any paid job as yet, so they just wrote the country's name, no profession nor any employer. Would this be fine? It says I am registered under the applicable ordinance and the country name, thats it. I have a PGWP and no paid work letter. Please do let me know. Thanks in advance.
