Questions on experience letter

I have 3 questions on experience letters -

1. my employer (fortune 50 company, $24 billion, very well known) refuses to provide details of my compensation and perks/benefits details. They wrote only the base salary on the experience letter. All other things are fine and satisfactory. Is it acceptable? I intend to write this situation in LOE.
2. My ex employer (a big $1 billion company but now much well known) refuses to mention my salary at all. They are saying they have a policy of not providing salary or compensation data. I have issued leagl threat but assuming they do not budge , is that acceptable? I intend to explain in LOE and who email discussion proofs.
3. How old can the current employer's experience letter be at the time of application submission? Can it be 1.5 months old? or is there any limit on how old it can be? thanks.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

For my similar case , I attached the revised compensation letter which is given to me every year.

The checklist (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp) doesn't explicitly call out how old it should be. For your previous jobs an expiration limit for experience letter doesn't make much sense to me either. IMO, 2 months should be a safe period for current employer too.

Thanks a lot. But for my previous employer I do not have the revised compensation letter, I do have some pay stubs though, as well as tax filing documents, would those suffice? what you think? Also, did it work out for you (submitting compensation letter) or did you face any issue? Thanks.

I had similar issues with some of my employers - one refused to mention my salary on the reference letter, the other refused to put both number of hours and salary.

I plan to get around that problem by showing my offer letters and contracts from these companies which have the details missing from the reference letters.

Good luck

Thanks. The good news is (after huge fight) they agreed to write salary but refuses to provide benefits, which I can understand (in fact is foolish for CIC to ask for benefits details because that is too complicated to provide), anyway, for benefits I will explain in LOE. Thanks again.

Hi

I need experts opinion on the following issue. Kindly help to resolve the ambiguity

I am the primary applicant while my husband is included in my application as a spouse and I have claimed points for his IELTS only. No points were claimed at the time of EE for his education and work experience. However, I have added the employment history of my husband at the time of EE and now at ITA, cic system is requesting proof of those employments.

Now my concern is that my husband has his experience letters with him but no details of job responsibilities are written. The letters just contain the dates of employment with the job title. In this case, should I upload the same documents he has with him or should I remove this record from ITA application?
Visa officer will be intelligent enough to see that we did not claim points for this employment so if some information is missing in the experience letter it should not affect the application.

Please help

Thank you in advance

Remove his experience and add it in personal history. No issues doing that.

is the work experience of your husband is in Canada? I think they need work exp documents of spouse only if it is a Canadian work experience. Otheriwse they shouldn't be asking work exp docs of spouse. They only need work exp of the primary applicant

No, it is not Canadian work experience. However, I am concerned that if I skip the work experience part of spouse it may come under providing false information as he has work experience of around 7 years in different companies. Would it be ok if I upload the generic work experience letters instead of detailed one?

They will ask if it is on the spouse work history. Normally it is recommended to include it on the personal history but not on the spouse work history.

Does your husband have any supporting documents like offer letters or contracts that list his responsibilities? You can include those along with the reference letter. Good luck.

Thank you for your reply but I am concerned that why CIC is asking about non-canadian work experience? If I'll not fill that part of application it may come under providing incomplete information.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, he has job offer letters and work experience letters. So you are recommending me to upload the documents I have in work experience section of my spouse instead of deleting it?

This is my personal opinion and I'm not an expert but I believe that if you have supporting documents you should show them instead of deleting your spouse's work history. Good luck.
