And you are just supposed to send your and your wife's birth certificate. Unless you have children. Your parent's brother or sister's are not considered your family in the spousal sponsorship application. Good luck and don't stress out :)
Why do i need to send my bc as well. Don't understand when i am sending my id as proof ?

Oh you don't have Canadian birth certificate. Sorry I assumed you do :p just bcuz I have a canadian birth certificate. I think I just sent it as extra identity. If it doesn't ask for your birth certificate then don't worry about it. :)
The fact that you didn't send the supplementary form... is the reason it got sent back.
Don't forget to double check the issue date on birth certificate. To make sure it was not registered late. Again! if it was then send a copy of voter's id card and if she doesn't have it. Then maybe you can send a letter along with your application explaining why you don't have it..and attach Grade 10 certificate where her birth date is included. :) There was a typo in my husband's address on the voter id card so I wrote that on the copy as a note and also sent his grade 10 certificate!!! :)

That's what we are hoping it is the supplementary travel form, no idea how we both missed it, it's like we never even saw it on the site. Vote id my spouse has he fathers name spelled wrong and the old residence address so a new id needs to be made, not sure if should put that as the reason, but i guess it does not hurt to attach one extra page stating the same. Why did you need to send your BC though ? Do you not have the citizenship card, I am wondering if i should send mine, it wont have any notarization etc. though so might not even get accepted.

Since I was born in Canada, my birth certificate IS my canadian citizenship card. You don't get a canadian citizenship card if you're born in Canada. Smiley You don't need to send your birth certificate just your spouse's. Yes send a copy of her voter id card. I'm aware that every Indian's voter id card has mistakes lol. Just attach a letter explaining the typo in father's name and the different home address. They really need that to verify the birth date apparently!!

Well sending it back tomorrow, no vote id and hoping the senior secondary certificate will be good enough, though adding adhar card which bears the dob. not sure why you need voter id when the passport is valid and holds the dob ?

Let's see what happens, hoping it was just the travel form that got missed causing this delay :(.

Application Received March 10, 2017 CPC-M then returned March 30, 2017. I do not understand the letter, my common law partner cannot understand it too, so his friend read it to me. All I heard was IRPR section 13, 10 & 11.

that usually means it's related to missing documents/ signatures or outdated forms. do you physically have the letter? you need the physical letter to determine what is missing or out of date so you can fix it and send the application back. if you have a representative, they should be providing you a copy of the letter.

Just wanted to update, my spouse received the email with the uci and app number today itself.
Had hard time linking the application to the online account, on the 5th final try using this trick worked for me to link/search for the application .

1. Logged in with GC Key account.
2. Permanent Residence > Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name.
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Selected PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Did not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Filled out the other application info as per our application and put '2' as the number of members in the application. I am sponsoring my husband, no dependents.

It was received on the 30 th March, account created on April 20. Let's see when further documents/requests come through via email, will be checking the account daily :).

Lots more steps to go through.. so hoping it all works out.

In the supplemental form where it asks for spouse's travel info, in Spousal PR cases, it will be the sponsor's travel info. Is that correct?

Well i put mine in beig the sponsor since my spouse had not travelled at all, but all travel info goes on one sheet and it must gave primary applicant name on the top as being the person filling it out. Only primay applicant fills it out and it includestravel info for both.

I tried several times it wont accept adhar card number and blank expiry date maybe they updated that on march update i will give it a try.
Hi mrpkiam,
I am having the same problem. What did you end up putting in the expiry date for the national identity document or did you just leave it blank? If you left it blank, then were you able to verify it?

I am Canadian citizen and in the process of sponsering my spouse from India. Do I have to send a notarized copy of the citizenship certificate or just a photocopy is good enough?

You don't need to certify/notarize the documents issued by Canadian authorities. The copies is enough.
