Hi! I found this forum/site very helpful that's why I decided to create an account too. I was just wondering if you guys can help me fill-up our application form. My husband and I are really confused with some of the questions. We recently got married last January 7. My husband didn't leave PH since we got married.
He's been here for almost 6mos now.
Is that considered as living exclusively outside of Canada already? Are we considered as "living" together even if he's just here for a long vacation?
Thank you in advance for your help!!!
No need to write anything there, just hit spacebar once in the city of birth section and move on to the country of birthThanks it says city of birth/town of birth so for example do I put Toronto /Ontario (Toronto a space bar then /(No space bar Ontario). Because I think this is where my issue is.or Toronto a space bar / space bar Ontario or there should be a space bar between the city and town with no / sign that is Toronto Ontario which just a space bar in between.
Thank you for your response!! He's a canadian citizen. Sorry I forgot to mention on my post. Is he considered exclusively living outside of CA because he's here for more than 5 mos already? He's not planning on getting a dual citizenship here though and he plans to leave on november. We're wondering what 'exclusively living outside of ca' on the questionnaire means.heheCheck this:
"
Who can become a sponsor
You can become a sponsor if you are:
- at least 18 years old
- a Canadian citizen, a person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act or a permanent resident living in Canada:
- if you are a Canadian citizen living outside Canada, you must show that you plan to live in Canada when your sponsored relative becomes a permanent resident
- you can’t sponsor someone if you are a permanent resident living outside Canada
- able to prove that you are not receiving social assistance for reasons other than a disability
- have enough income to provide for basic needs of any grandchildren (dependent children of a dependent child) of the principal applicant "
and also go to: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5525ETOC.asp

That surely helps! thank you so muchGenerally different category have different set of requirements and has to submit with respect to their category. So, please look into Guide 5525 and see what is mentioned there.
As far, I know, if he come back to Canada and sponsor you after being in Canada and you staying in different country than the process is faster than other categories.
