March 3rd applicant. AOR received 24th April. Medicals done March 10th, 2017 and passed on March 23rd. My WP expires on July 1st, is it advisable for me to apply to extend my WP? Thanks

My work permit expires 23 June and I am waiting until June 22 to apply for a new one in hopes of getting the PPR and a stamped passport before that.

Bad news for me today guys. My husband has a transit ticket from 2002 on his driver recor. Cic sent me a letter asking me for the proof of payment and judge resolution of it and they gave us 30 days. We are in Canada now and in our home country it takes super long to get papers from public institutions, at least a couple of months, I am super frustrated right now. The infraction was paid on time but we don't have a receip from 15 years ago

I haven't paid a parking ticket that I got 4 months ago, will that be a problem too?

Pretty bad... which country are you from ? Do you have any agent who can deal with ths and find a appropriate solution ?

my foreign certificate was originally translated by my country's embassy, and cic was not sastified with it. I was asked by CIC to get my foreign police certificate translated by a certified translator. I got that translated by an accredited translator in Canada and submitted that through Case Specific Inquiry, and my criminality has been "Passed" since then.

Thank you. In my case they did not ask to provide new one. May be they want to do their own investigation while doing security check....I suppose.

Yes you should apply for bridge work permit, which is usually takes 48 days processing time. you can work under your implied status after you submit application for the bridge permit. But if you get your PR landing before they start processing your work permit, you can request for a refund

I have a question regarding this , I am in similar situation and my BOWP expires on 1 November 2017. I had got medical request on 1 November 16 and it has been 8 months now since I submitted my medicals and nothing has changed on my Ecas. I am worried whether my BOWP can be extended or I have to leave the country. I work as full time accountant and my employer is asking me questions about my continuity as employee due to my status in canada (BOWP). Can someone please advise ?Thanks

If i dont hear anything till Monday I am going to escalate with my local MP.
