Lovely. but do I have to get any confirmation letter from the bank stating the CAD value and do I have to get a confirmation saying the FD can be liquidated any time? or is it obvious that the maturity date of the FD is way earlier than the PPR date(God willingly) :)

thanks again for your reply

Hi guys,

I,m in a big dilemma here.

so i don't have sufficient funds, i will be taking it from my father, but my father will be transferring it using two different accounts, and he has already transferred around 40k to my account.

so do i have to make a deed affidavit for all the transaction that are done?
and do i need to make different affidavit for each account transfer?

thanks in advance

A single gift deed can quote both the transactions but don't forget to upload the proof of transfer for both transactions.

Hi vishalq,

thanks for replying,

proof of transfer for both transactions means the transfer details from the bank ?
can i use the auto generated mail or should i have to go to the bank for this.

If it was transferred through cheque then scanned copies of cheque or if it was internet transfer then receipts of the same.

Hi! So I have a similar situation. I have a bank account in the US and Pakistan. I am obtaining bank letters for both bank account. I also had amount transferred in my bank account from my father as a gift in April. So I am having the following documents sent:
1.Bank letter US Bank
2.Bank Letter Pakistan Bank
3.Gift deed from father on Stamp Paper
4.Bank statement of Pakistan bank from date of gift made(as my account was empty before) to the date of submission.

Please could you or any of the senior members just let me know if this is enough or not? I have completed other documents and am waiting just for the confirmation of the same.

Thank you.

Add proof of transfer to the list. Copy of the cheque or internet transfer receipt

What if the bank statement shows the transferred amount from the said account? Also, the gift deed has details of the cheque. I will try to see if I can find a copy of the same, but just in case I cannot, I was asking for alternatives

If you can't find the cheque then upload father's account statement, that will highlight the debit and yours will highlight the credit

Thank you. The cheque number has been stated in the gift deed and that exact cheque number shows up as a credit in my bank statement as the instrument number. Would that suffice?

Since you're not uploading the proof of transfer it would be advisable to upload your father's statements. Also provide an LOE explaining this transaction and summarizing your POF.

Guys, help with my situation please:

-> I need to show around 20,000 CAD (around 9.5 lacs) and i have the said amount in my account (although the average balance of 6 months will be lower as i got 1 lakh through LIC money back this month and other part through my salary recently). Will it be an issue? I can attach my payslips and LIC statements in the LoE if required.
-> Should i also show my accompanying spouse's account (she has lot of FDs) to further strengthen my case (as my account's average balance is low as per the above point)? If yes, then does her account statement also need to show similar stuff as the primary applicant i.e. account opening date, average balance etc. or can i only show 6 months statements?
-> Should i also attach my PF statement worth > 20,000 CAD to boost my case?

No issues as long as current balance is above required funds and you can provide the trail of significant funds credited in your account within last 6 months and your ownership for the same.
I can attach my payslips and LIC statements in the LoE if required.Do that
-> Should i also show my accompanying spouse's account (she has lot of FDs) to further strengthen my case (as my account's average balance is low as per the above point)? If yes, then does her account statement also need to show similar stuff as the primary applicant i.e. account opening date, average balance etc. or can i only show 6 months statements?if your account has enough balance then no need else you can show spouse's account with all letters and supporting docs for significant credits in her account within last 6 months. In case you go with this, then get a declaration from your spouse that she allows you to utilize the funds for immigration purpose and she will be accompanying you upon receiving the COPR.
-> Should i also attach my PF statement worth > 20,000 CAD to boost my case
Only if bank account has lesser than the required funds. All these will be extra docs. You can go ahead with them or you can leave them, your call. But CIC is only concerned about the minimum required funds and they ask for 6 months average to figure whether you have e taken any loan for POF. Keep $1000 extra to cover exchange fluctuations.
