He called CIC call centre and they told him that if the application was sent on or after April 19th then it is still being worked on. If it was sent before April 19th then there is nothing on their file. Anybody else experiencing the same thing? Does anyone know why this could be?

They seem backed up for April May, your friend is not the only one experiencing this so I would try not to worry and give it a bit more time

My application has been returned twice and that's what happened to me the second time (the mailing address issue). So sorry! It's so frustrating since they don't tell you ANYWHERE in the instructions not to do that. : ( You know what's even worse? When it happened to me, I read about it on this forum literally three hours after I had mailed my application. Then I had to wait an entire month knowing it was just coming right back to me.

Oh no that's terrible I'm so sorry to hear. This whole process really is nerve wracking. Hoping for the best for your application!!

he just updated me that what the CIC agent meant was that if it was sent before April 19th, then it should have been processed with a confirmation number already as they are processing those received on or after April 19th.

In my email I received SA on May 24. I'm waiting to get an email or notification from my CIC account to upload the Schedule A form. However in the mail it says it can also be mailed to the CPC Mississauga office, but then I got another email saying our application was going to CPC Ottawa....so where do I mail out the Schedule A? (Should I just wait to be prompted and link it online?)

Indeed, they will highlight everytging that's missing. As long as you've corrected what was wrong and provide what they request you should be fine. I meant from an overall perspective, for your own peace of mind try to make sure nothing else is missing. Everything will fall into place. Be strong!!!

I did notice that they unstapled everything and all the forms were out of order it looks as though they thoroughly went through everything.

I'm going to have to put everything back in order before I mail it back today.

My application received by April 12 and just called CIC, they told us to wait another month. If no feedback, then, call them again. No choice. keep waiting........ don't like the game like this.

I am the principal applicant. I am currently staying in Canada with my spouse as a visitor. I put my residential address as my address in the US (since technically that's still where I "reside", I am just visiting Canada.) I put my mailing address as my husband's address in Canada (where I am currently staying). That is not allowed... but you would never know that based on the instructions. If the PA mailing address is listed different from the PA residential address, you have to include the Use of a Representative form authorizing the person who lives at that mailing address to receive communication on behalf of the PA. So my application was returned, since I did not know to include the Use of a Representative Form.

I resubmitted on 4/27 and still waiting for AOR.
