Hi friends,

When to write a letter of intent or covering letter...I read about them in some thread.
So request you guys to share your knowledge on this...as when these letters are required and are any supporting docs needed for these letters?
Thanks in advance!!

did you mean Letter of Explanation (LOE)? If yes. Use it to your advantage to explain anything you feel the officer should know or consider while assessing your application.

Good Luck.

Hi Experts,

I need your advice here, Already I have sent all of my academic docs to WES already by only mentioning the WES number on the envelope but not indivisually on all the docs, as I think for all of the candidates the process has been the same. However, I have given WES a mail about what should i do regarding this, whose reply came to me after 2 weeks as bellows:- So now do you think they might reject my application ? If yes, is it advisable to reapply for the ECA again without waiting for their reply ? pls suggest..

"
Thank you for your message.

Include Your WES Reference number on all envelopes and documents delivered to WES.

Thank you,

You should be fine with ref number on the envelop. No need to resend the documents.

This is correct. She will likely be rejected for failure to meet the requirement detailed below:

Minimum work experience requirement

"The applicant must have accumulated at least one year of continuous full-time (or the equivalent in part-time) paid work experience in the occupation identified in their application for permanent residence as their primary occupation. In calculating this period of work experience, the occupation must be listed in skill type 0 (Managerial occupations), skill level A (Professional occupations) or skill level B (Technical occupations and skilled trades) of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2011 [R75(2)(a)]."

Hi.
Request clarification on the following, as I am about to submit my Application Now.

1. Should I select Yes, No or Not Applicable to the question below in personal History, Keeping in Mind that I had not been associated with Govt., Military or any Political Organizations??

Not Applicable

Q:- Have You Listed all of Mr. X periods of Military services or Govt positions (if any) and all the organizations that Mr. X belongs to (if any)??

Not Applicable

the 2nd part of this question is confusing me that says , and all the organizations that Mr. X belongs to (I get to understand organizations as the Banks that I work for) Hence confused between Not Applicable & Yes option... Please suggest?

This is not referring to work. Its referring to groups such as Political/Religious/social organizations.

2. My wife's & my Daughter's Passports issued earlier, showed Surname column as Blank ( In India- there is First name & Last name columns separately in Passport) Recently, in January, I got my Surname added to their passports also.

Hence Supporting their name change with Documents.

But, When I go to the Personal History & update Names section, i has a question - Has this person ever used any other Names?? I selected YES keeping in mind that their name is now with my Surname added.

Submit a one and the same person affidavit, here is a sample:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/express-entry-in-a-nutshell.394158/page-155#post-5435174

When I type Other Name column - Under First Name I put their Full Name as mentioned earlier in Passport as the Last Name column was left Blank.

e.g - Before marriage name reflecting on passport in First name column as GOS QAY and Last name is not mentioned. Later in January I got my surname added to their First name on New passport, the Name on passport is reflecting now as First name column GOS QAY & Last Name column as LON

What Should I mention in the Last name column?? 1) Not Applicable or 2) NO Name mentioned in earlier Passports

"If you do not have a family name on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank. Do not enter “Not applicable,” “*” or “NA.”"

Hi,
Please suggest me.. I have completed B.com (corporate Secratary ship) & have 6 years of expierince in accounts payable department. So, I myself saw NOC code 1431 to fit my roles perfectly. But this falls under skill type C which is not eligible for express entry. However, when i spoke with a consultancy their evaluation report came with NOC code 1311, skill type A and they are asking me to apply in express entry under skill type A.
Am afraid that if I apply as 1311 will my PR get rejected or if i get my PR after reaching Canada will I get any legal issues in finding job or something with this NOC code. Or its just for PR and we can go there and change our Noc code as well?? Please guide me am so confused. :(
Hi,

Well, the question is can you get a reference letter that supports your claim of having experience in NOC 1311 as requested below:

"
In addition, during that period of employment, the applicant must have

  • performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(b)]; and
  • performed a substantial number of the main duties, including all of the essential duties, of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(c)]."
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/econ/fsw/minimum.asp

If the answer is yes, then go for it. It wont affect you legally once you get to Canada.

Best of luck

Hi All,

I have submitted the application on 12th Dec after receiving an ITA. I have got the request to pay Landing fees and I have done the same on 11th April 2017.

Is anyone aware how much time it might take to get the Visa Grant Letter. I read some where it will be less than one month but now its more than 45 days still no news. Little worried !!!!

In EE profile, I replied to the question (has XXX applied to IRCC before?) with no... I study in Canada with a study permit!

Now I got ITA.. some ppl say the answer to this question should be yes.. is it true?

Can I fix this now after ITA or my application will be rejected! I havent submitted my application yet.. score very low and cant go back to pool...

Further, my education section shows that am a student in canada and this clearly means that I have a study permit!

Not an issue. Just say YES in you PR application and enter the relevant details. In you LOE you can mention that you said NO in error.

Best of luck

Hey Seniors,

I just got my PCC. I have lived under two addresses during the past 10 years. however, the PCC only states my current address for the past 10 years.
it reads as follows:

this is to certify that Mr. X , National ID Number: xxx, address: (Current Address), has not come to the adverse notice of the Sri Lanka Police during the period from 01/01/1996 to 28/02/2012, 01/03/2012 to 05/05/2017 according to our records.

(Signed)
Inspector General of Police.

does the PCC have to state all the addresses I lived in my home country?

Looks good as is.
But it hasn't stated my first address. I'm a bit worried. I asked a police in charge and he said that that was the format.

but then why would they state two periods without mentioning both addresses. I'm a bit worried.
