I agree if he is dependent. In my case he is not dependent on principal application. I understand it this way. Any suggestions?

The answer is the same. It doesn't matter if he isn't financially dependent on your mother. He is still considered a dependent for the purposes of this application and must be fully included.

Few Questions for the experienced folks here.

I have sponsored my wife on spousal PR, and she has PR now for more than 2 years. I have certain question regarding the form IMM5768E.

• What count should I write in In question 3(B)? Where it asks Number of persons included in previous undertakings you signed as sponsor that are still in effect? After what time in years the undertaking will not be in effect?
• Question 13, current situation, I was employed for last three years (2014, 2015, 2016) but in 2017 I am self employed. In this question I will check box self employed. Should I attach proofs of business income from this work as supporting documents?
• In question 14 are we supposed to write the detail of work/employment yearly (2014, 2015, 2016, so three rows) or in terms of period (2014-2016, in single row)
• Also in question 14 in first row it states present, should I mention the 2017 income as well, as it states in To as "Present".

• First page personal details. Family name and Given name both fields are mandatory. But in Indian passports my parents only have given names. What should I write in in Family name and Given name now as both fields are mandatory.

Hi VinaVolla, I believe you mean family size.

You should mention the size of family you were living with at that time every year. Like I had a baby in 2016 so my family size increased by 1 in 2016. Earlier it was 3 , in 2016 its 4.

You must meet the LICO for the family size at time of application, in all preceding years.

So even if one had family sizes of
2014 - 4 people
2015 - 5 people
2016 - 5 people
2017 - 6 people at time app is submitted

In this case would need to meet LICO for family size of 6 for 2014,2015,2016. The family sizes of 4 and 5 would be irrelevant.

I am sponsoring my mother. My father does not want to come and he is earning in India.

My question is do we need to Add him as dependent on IMM0008 form. My understanding is we don't have to add him as dependent.

As I am sponsoring my mother only. I don't think I have to provide any document from my father for example IMM5669, IMM5406. He should be added on additional family information form IMM5406 only.

The father must be listed as a non-accompanying dependent. So he must be included in family size, and must successfully pass the medical exam. It does not matter at all if he is not accompanying.

The only way to leave the other parents off the app, is if the parents are separated/divorced.

Hello Everyone,

I am filling up forms for my mother.On eIMM5669E Background declaration form,I am required to fill up my Mother's parents date of birth.
She does not remember the date/month.Guide does say to use *(asterisk) if you do not remember date of birth.
I have tried using the * in place of date and month but the form does not allow.
Has anyone come across this problem?
Any help is appreciated.

Should I attach proofs of business income from this work as supporting documents? : I would recommend , yes. You have to prove that you will be earning the income more than LICO for 2017 while you are applying. So better to attach proof of self employment.

In question 14 are we supposed to write the detail of work/employment yearly (2014, 2015, 2016, so three rows) or in terms of period (2014-2016, in single row) : Yearly matching the Tax year with your T4 income. And attach T4, just for extra peace of mind. When IRCC see any number in the form and that matches with other government issued paper, they like it and move fast.

1-Can we fill out the forms with caps lock??

2- In the Additional family information ( 5406)

We have to complete for my father and my mom separate, but the question is for my mom who is applicant?? I have to leave it blank ?? Or N/A?? And i need to attached one more page because of section C should I write anything on top?? Or just staple and I don't need to fill out other sections??

Hey, what if someone has multiple employers in one tax year? I mean if there were 2 employers in 2014 and 2015, what would you put in employer name if you are going with 4 rows (2014, 2015) ? I think we can have more rows just like you put in your personal history details in other forms (with no gaps) and mention employer name with the T4 they had issued and then the second employer name with their respective T4 amount. After all you are also providing cic proof of your income so they can interpret in what way they like. not sure how it goes.
