Alternative date for test

CIC officers looks like they are bosses themselves ,, they have no consideration for our life or time ,, which it can be seen as discrimination ,,,
like how dare you immigrant applicant, you arrive late or you will not attend your test cuz you are taking your vacation ,, how dare you ,, so we will show you

You are so right, they never consider themselves as government service provider and we are their customers. Imagine if you are applying driving license, you are just given a fixed date for test and even you have a wedding or funeral to attend on the same day but you have to obey it with no choice or you are facing months even years delay to get your driving license.

I like the way how UK government handle citizenship applications. They outsource the citizenship test to professional organizations and it's computerized test so anyone can sit test whenever wherever they like before the application then attach the test certificate with the application. Once application is approved, you get approval letter then you can make appointment yourself with your local council for ceremony so you can choose the time suits you and you can even have private ceremony. After ceremony, there is warm tea session so you can socialize with your local council officials and fellow new citizens.

So people feel welcome and respected during the whole citizenship process in UK. While in Canada it's cold and heartless process. I know Minister Hussein just visited UK, hope he can learn something.

I am in Edmonton so it was easy as there is only one local office here...next would be Calgary. Just sent to both to be sure they got it but sending it via web form probably would have been enough

is that mean that you re-schedule the test ???? and if you re-schedule , how much time you waited to get your re-schedule test ,,, thank you

No I didn't have to reschedule the appointment. I just informed CIC of the times I was going to be on vacation. Sorry but I have no idea how long it would take to reschedule the test .....
