Yeah I agree. So far, they are well under the 26 months they are telling people. All in all, a win I would say...

No one freaking out if they keep at this pace everyone wins

Sounds like server lag. AIP and Landing in the same day.. take the la ding and forget the other...
Does it mean I am landed after the interview, and I can go travelling then?

Or still have some more processing?

Thanks Profiler!

Landed. They will tell you not to travel until you get your PR Card at the interview. They will also tell you that, if you absolutely need to travel, that you will need to go to a Canadian Embassy to order a travel document. The PR Card is what allows you onto an air plane/ship to return to Canada, and allows you to traverse the border. The travel document is $50. PR Card takes about 6-8 wks -- though IRCC Kitchener told us it could take 3 mos.

Thank God I use all Apple devices

Out of an abundance of caution:
Anyone using windows based devices (computers,tablets,phones);

I am personally urging you to immediately run windows update, or shut off and totally disconnect your device until you can have a trusted person complete this for you. Anyone with win XP, take the device off the net totally.

There is a massive Ransomeware attack happening, that's had months to propagate through the net. If you have somehow got this virus, today is 0 day to start the massive collection of demands...

Governments and people alike are all being struck. Please heed this warning until you can be certain it cannot affect you. Last thing anyone needs is losing evidence that you may need soon..

Why didn't you tell us @sylvain1??

At least she isn't landing during her conference! :)
Thank you, I wrote it in the 2015 thread. Not during the conference, but we go to Montreal for landing and we'll come back the same day, then she goes to Montreal from 28 to 31 for the scientific meeting!

They had an iOS Ransomeware at some point I thought?

For us, the wife and I have mostly all Lin devices. Droid phones, Debian on our laptops, droid STBs, and she uses VBox for a win 7 virtual that's strictly used for work related stuff. And the image is backed up. At the edge, OBSD. Moral of the story: don't use SMB v 1.0.

The worm is spreading fast... So I hope people heed my warning...

A Brit researcher discovered a means that he could stem the spread by registering a domain. That's been done, so the worm has stopped spreading. For now.

The threat still remains. So still get your windows machines patched quickly!

You mean I need the travel document every time, even if I got the PR Card??

Can I go to the State with the PR Card or still need a Visa?

The travel document would be required only if you want to travel prior to receiving your PR card. Once you get your PR card, you can travel and show your PR card for returning to Canada.

PR doesn't allow you to travel to USA. If you needed a visa to go to USA, you'll still need one as a PR until you become a citizen and travel with a Canadian passport.

Thanks! I got the visa ages ago, but never been there.

DS160 Non Immigrant Visa, if you're from a country who has visa requirements to enter the US.
