Can medicals be done upfront or shall I wait for the lvo to send me instructions?
You should do it upfront. Do it upfront and submit the information sheet/receipt that the clinic provides you.

It's an optional document, not mandatory. If you want to clarify some information regarding your profile, then you can use this LoE.
It's a simple letter.

At the time of submitting your docs, you will see a separate place-holder for LOE in your personalised docs checklist. You can submit this in that upload field.

Hi all,

Im not sure where i should be posting this question, im new in the forum, im sorry if i should be putting this somewhere else..

I am submitting my express entry profile for FSW and my question is about the part: "Which Provinces or Territories would you consider living in?". Honestly i would prefer to get an ITA through the FSW and not use the PNP that would restrict me regarding where to live (apparently you need to live the first 2 years in that territory when you arrive), since my field is actually strong in Quebec and i could probably have more chances of getting a job there. However Quebec is not even considered in the FSW program, but applying to its provincial program i heard takes much longer, and my french is not that good yet. Leaving aside the fact that the application through PNP is way more expensive. Im thinking about submitting my profile marking all the territories but then say NO to the questions regarding if i want to allow certain territories to nominate my for their PNP, at least for now until i see if i can get an ITA from the Federal program first. A lawyer told me that if a province nominates you, you will not be nominated by the federal program, so i dont want that to happen for now. If time passes and i really dont get an ITA, could i change my answers to YES afterwards updating my profile to be considered for the PNP? and would it have a negative impact or would i just start being considered for the PNPs from that moment on? Im not sure if all the parts in the profile can be updated after submitting the profile or only some of them.

I would really appreciate any information about this if someone knows, and thanks so much in advance! :)

You can select all provinces or a few you like, it does not matter. However, if you chose only a few, only those provinces will automatically consider your for their PNP programs, given that they do pick people from the pool, like Ontario.

As a FSW, once you become a PR, you can live anywhere in Canada, including Quebec. The is guaranteed by the Canadian Constitution. However, for the PNP program you have the 2 year residency requirement which is not given anywhere, and I am waiting for the Supreme Court of Canada or a Federal Court to give a ruling on this.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your answer! so, if now i prefer to give it a chance only through the federal program (cause it's also cheaper and to avoid any future headaches with the 2 years residency) and i mark NO in the questions regarding if i want to be considered for any PNP, can i change that later after submitting my profile to YES and start being considered simply from that moment on?

thanks again!

When you submit your profile, your profile is locked and you cannot make any changes. You should check all boxes and also say "yes" to the PNP. Later, accepting a provincial nomination or not is your personal choice. You can turn it down it selected for a PNP and given that you have points above the cut-off CRS and eligible under the FSW.

as far as i know you can make changes before getting an ITA (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1005&top=29), however, before submitting i wanted to be sure that all parts are possible to update, specifically the one of the PNP.
I wouldnt want to turn down a PNP nomination cause i may need it afterwards, i just want to check first if i can get it through the federal.

The problem is that i dont have enough CRS points now to get through FSW, im waiting to do again the IELTS to see if i can get the 0.5 plus that i need in the writting, but i would like to start having my profile in the pool just in case the cut-off CRS of FSW gets lower next time they select people. If my IELTS doesnt improve, then i will say YES to the PNP because that may be the last resource.

The change for the profile info are possible, as you mentioned, however, when I say they are locked, I mean once your receive an ITA or a PNP. That is why it is advisable to check all Provinces and you can later change them or decline the PNP if you have enough points.

To calculate your points, you can use the CRS calculator http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

And the previous cut-off score for the rounds of invitation are available here - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/rounds.asp

Can somebody please help?
I am trying to figure out how to report my work experience. I worked in Canada for 2 years obtaining W1 (temporary work permit -skilled worker/univ professor). A year later, obtained PR card through PNP. At the end of 2nd year, I moved out of Canada and let the PR card expire (I didn't pass the physical test either as I did not stay long enough). Later renounced the PR several years later.

Technically, I was working in Canada for 1 year as W1 and then another year with PR card.

I have worked in other places since I moved out of Canada.

I am trying to get PR through Express entry. How can I count my work experience in Canada and other places after my exit from Canada?
How many points will I get?

Please help.
