Congrats omg they are mean to have the family waiting till Sept :o :o for an interview

I know!!! I think it is because hubby worked on a cruiseship for 6 months based out of the US. So one of the things we have to provide is FBI clearance which apparently takes up to 18 weeks. So I don't think this is the typical wait time and trust you'll all have nuch less time to wait. :)

Wow 18 dreadful weeks. Well let the countdown begin. Your family will be with you soon. Congratulations it's an exciting time.

Anyone can give me clarification of police checks.. Most likely know the answer but am posting for advice. My husband had travelled in the past to Trinidad on visitor visa for periods less than 6 mths. For example, 2 weeks, 1 mth, 2 mths with all the visits it calculates to more than 6 mths. What gets me is the statement is the country he has lived the most from 18 years of age which would be Jamaica of course. Any suggestions?

The requests my husband just receieved for Canadian and US police checks specified they were needed because he lived there 6 months or longer. So your husband should be ok. :)

Good evening all!!!! I have a question is it possible just to submit the application fee of $550.00? How far into submitting the application will they ask for the $490 for landing fee and medicals?

Yes- it is. :) We paid the $550 first, and then only recently paid the $490. When we received our interview request, they requested we bring the RPRF receipt for $490 with us.

Today i saw an update in ECAS a 3rd line has been added." We have started processing your application 0n may 8 2017". Hopefully things will okay soon. Also i dont think i like the new change with this forum. Maybe im just resistant to change idk.

Exciting news ladies! We just got our medical request for hubby's non accompanying dependent AND our interview date has been scheduled for September 20th. Later than we had hoped for, but just so relieved to have a date in mind now.

We are on the 19 just a day ahead of you

Oh my gosh! :D In all my excitement I wrote the wrong day! Interview is actually Sept 5. I'm surprised yours is in Sept too- thought for sure it was just because of the FBI/RCMP clearance that ours was. I wonder why they're scheduling them so far in advance.
