I took the exam in San Francisco, United States. Just checked my result

Listening: 8.5
Reading: 7.0
Writing: 8.0
Speaking: 8.5

Overall: 8.0

I think I have maximized the CRS points with this result. I only practiced Reading once and I thought it was the easiest part and I would get at least 8.0. I guess I lost all the marks in the last fish market section. The questions in this section are really confusing and cannot really reflect a person's reading ability.

So glad I don't need to retake the exam. My heart was beating so fast when I was typing my personal information.

Good luck to every one.

because of writing, I will have to reappear or go for rechecking.
any suggestion?
I was very confident about reading part, I don't know how I got so less..
One of my friend got 6.0 in reading despite the fact he has scored 8 band in his last attempt.
Reading was tricky, and its objective so no chance to get ur score change after revaluation.
I suggest to reappear. Do not apply for recheck, u will loose ur money. I repeat do not apply for recheck.
Best of luck

Guys My scores are

Listening: 8.0
Reading: 7.0
Writing: 6.5
Speaking: 6.0
Overall: 7.0

Can anyone sincerely suggest if I should go for re-exam or this score should be sufficient for Canada PR?

Your suggestions would be appreciated. Please help.

thanks bro for the kind suggestion,
I am not worried about reading, I would recheck writing.

because of only 0.5 less than 7 in writing, I will have to reappear.

thats why rechecking WRITING, hoping to increase WRITING by 0.5....

else, I am fine with my score, except writing others are falling in CLB 9

I wanted to get 50 extras points for Canada Immigration by getting 7778 (SRWL)

Sheer Bad luck, is what I wud say..In my first attempt I got (SWLR 6.5, 7.0, 9.0, 8.5) and missed out by 0.5 in speaking..
For next several attempts, the same story repeated, everytime I missed out in only one module by 0.5, writing section is difficult. I once scored 8.5 in writing, and 6.5 in 3 other attempts. Last attempt I got 7.0 in writing but again missed out in one module, listening 7.5.

If I get 7778 this time, I wud be able to save OINP fees of 1500 CAD but moreover I wud be relieved of having cracked the exam.
Can you please elaborate "OINP Fees" What's that for?

Should retake IELTS for better CRS :( Just .5 in each W and R would have given 50 more points :(

My results are similar too, I am feeling bad that because of .5 we lost 50 points.
I have been cursing myself since morning, but I think we should go ahead and try another time.
I did not want to write it either as its a expensive and tests a lot of patience, as we will lag behind everyone else who are cruising ahead with CRS draw being low.

Listening: 8.5
Reading: 6.5
Writing: 6.5
Speaking: 7.0
Overall: 7.0

Currently my CRS is reaching upto only 400 approx.

Hi Vikram,
I am planning to go for re-evaluation for speaking section. As just a .5 mark can bring me to CLB 8 category and there's not much difference between CLB 9 & CLB 8.

Thanks

I am still unable to preview my results onlune. Should I be concerned? The website says rssults are rolled out over a time period of 24 hrs.. How accurate is that?
