Can't apply for wife's TRV online, giving wrong forms, help?

Hi, we recently extended both my closed WP and her open WP.
We are trying to apply for new TRVs so we can leave and enter Canada.

I answer all the questions fine but then I get this one for my spouse:

What does your family member want to do in Canada?

The possible answers are:
Extend visitor
Apply/extend work permit, study permit
Apply/extend study permit

If I select extend visitor it gives me the form to change condition / extend visitor visa (5708) instead of application for visitor visa (5257)

I can't get the answers to give me the right forms. Is it even possible to extend both mine and her TRV in a single online application?

A TRV cannot be extended you have to apply from scratch.

Both TRVs can be done in a single application, many people do it everyday.

Most probably you are stating you want to stay in Canada more than 6 months. Chose "less than six months" and "visit" in the first page.

- work
- temporarily (more than 6 months)
- country of residence: Canada

then there'll be 3 questions, one of which you can specify you have a work permit.
